Complaint Review: Kevin Jewelers

Kevin Jewelers Does not cater to customers. My wedding ring was just 8 months old when it came apart. It took over 5 months to repair my ring. I was promised a new 'special order' ring and I was given my original ring back. If vendors created the ring, they certainly did not know how to replicate the ring. Corporate and management failed to comply with this situation. Ignored e-mails and phone calls. West Palmdale California

I went in to my local Kevin Jewelers late June because the top part of my wedding ring fell off. The manager was kind enough to have it sent to the manufacture for repair/replacement. Four weeks past and I went in to pick up my wedding ring. It was originally 14k and it came back 24 k and the mounting was poorly done. The manager stated on the phone, prior to picking up the ring, that I may not like the outcome of the repair. The ring was sent back and two weeks later I received a phone call stating that the ring was ready so I picked it up. Upon seeing the ring, I was not satisfied whit the quality of the mounting. The top part of the ring was slanted and the intricate details were, once again, poorly done. Ann suggested picking out another ring, re-dipping this ring in 14k, or swap the ring. Well I found out that Ann was not the Manager, nor the Asst. Manager... She really had no say so and wasted my time. The Asst. Manager finally stepped in and approved of the swap, after speaking on the phone with the Manager. I was asked to wait around for about an hour. The ring broke. Well this fiasco went on for weeks. Finally, order a new ring was suggested. My assumption was a brand new ring. So for the past six weeks I waited. I received a message stating that an addition, I requested paper work for all of these visits and still as of today I have not seen any copies.

I cannot believe that the ring that I have today is the same ring that I bought and in worse condition then when I originally paid for it. I've left several messages, sent numerous e-mails and showed up to the local jewelery store and all I hear from the manager is that 'I guarantee you that nothing will be done'... That says a lot about this place and I truly regret walking in to this store thinking that I was going to find the perfect wedding ring.....

that is so strange that you had such poor service. i just purchased a ring from ann and the asst manager and i had great service they were very nice and honest. i even checked their previous service with friends and they said the same thing. that just seems so unbelieveable that that happened.
