Kevin Mike used a relay phone service claiming to be hearing impaired to call us about a Siberian Husky puppy that he wanted to purchase.  He asked me to email him.  I did that and gave him information and pictures about the puppies.  He told me he wanted a white male and would send a money order or cashier's check right away for the deposit and the rest of the cost plus the cost of a courier who would come to our house to pick up the puppy and drive it to him in the Bronx. He told me to cash the check and contact the courier and send the cash to the courier via Western Union.  The courier was
Nicole MCcoo
ADDRESS: 901 KELLER LANE

I never received the check.  After reading the ripoff I realized that he was acting as a puppy broker and mis-representing what was really going to happen to that puppy. The rip-off report said that the courier was changed at the last minute and the courier was supposed to ship the puppy to the UK.

I was very clear in my correspondence that we did not want to have any puppies shipped.  I suspect that Kevin Mike or whatever his real name is was selling the puppy himself for a much higher price.

We received two more relay phone calls under different names also wanting to buy puppies. They also claimed to be deaf. One was Tom Kelly.  He wanted to purchase a puppy for his son's  birthday.  Then he said he wanted two puppies. When he wrote me  back, he gave me the same instructions as Kevin Mike gave me except he didn't give me his address or the name of the courier.  He wrote again and asked me to call his puppy, Pompei.  I thought that was strange because he wanted two puppies, but he gave me only one name.

The third emailer didn't not respond when I replied that none of our puppies would be shipped.

I informed both Kevin Mike and Tom Kelly about the rip-off report.  I told them that the deal was off. I had not received a deposit to hold any puppies for either person.  I didn't receive any further emails from Tom Kelly.  I did get another one recently from Kevin Mike acting like the check was in the mail.  I told him that the deal was off. If I received a check, I would return it to him.

I don't believe any of these people is deaf or using their real names.  I do believe that they are scamming breeders to make a profit off of the puppies we raise.  These are AKC Siberian Huskies.  We will only sell to people who can come in person to pick out their puppy and give us a deposit and return when the puppies are ready with the remainder of the cost in cash.

I myself am hearing impaired so it really upsets me that they would use relay calling to keep us from hearing their voices.

I doubt these people are actually looking to buy and re-sell the puppies. This is most likely a "shipping" scam in which they send you a check for the "courier", wait for you to cash it and forward the money to the "courier", then laugh their butts off when that check bounces and you're left explaining it to the bank.  This is a common scam.  I was hounded by people like this when I had to find a new forever home for my chihuahuas.

BTW... I once had a Siberian Husky :-)  Absolutely wonderful dog!!
