Complaint Review: Key Largo Construction LLC

This is a warning to all my neighbors that read this. We live in Pelican Bay, Willis Texas we hired Key Largo Construction, Stuart Britt Cummings is the owner. We paid this man $9,500 to do deck, pier work and a new boatlift. He did partial work for pier and took the rest of our money and skipped out on us and will not finish the work or return the money. He will not return phone calls, messages emails. We also gave him $3,750 to pay his subcontractor for a boatlift and did not pay him either and this guy was his friend! Do your research, we thought we had, only after digging real deep did we realize what a despicable man he is. We are not his only victim. He has a serious past of doing this to others. We also discovered more information about his past while not only talking to other victims, but by visiting County Court websites in our surrounding area. Stuart had stated to us that "the contract is not worth the paper it is written on" and he was right, especially when his name is on it. I can tell you if his mouth is moving he’s lying! Please, please do not use this guy you will be in the same boat with us. I have attached a picture so you can see for yourselves what this scumbag left us back in September 2013.
