WE came to this dealership to lease 2 cars, a Toyota Sienna and a Camry. We came in with 2 cars to trade-in (2006 Ford F150 XLT fully loaded with lots of extras and a 2006 Audi A6 S-line, fire red). We asked them when we first walked onto the lot to aprraise our cars first to see where we where at with the money amounts for trade in value.
We have leased a total of 9 cars over the last nine years between my wife and I, so needless to say, we where very expirienced with this. We did our homework on the "dealership wholesale trade in values" with both cars. These values we have gotten every time with every trade in in the past. The first thing they said was "dont worry! We make the best deals and your not gonna be upside down. We give the most for trade ins.
After 2 hours of paper work and some other pointless stories from the sales person and "closing manager", they gave my me $5000 UNDER the WHOLESALE dealer trade that the computer gave him telling me that they needed to put $5000 into the BRAND NEW FORD F150 (BRAND NEW and in perfect condition, mind you) just to be able to sell the car. Then They told us that my car was not a "Brand Name car". (The Ford F150 is only the #1 SELLING TRUCK IN AMERICA" NOT TOYOTA.
We said thank you and tried to leave when the general manager sad " you have 2 off brand cars, thats why you shoud pay extra $30,000 just for us to take your cars off your hands. I then decided to ask him what is a brand name car? and he replied Toyata of course. The next day they call us from that dealership and asked why we didnt buy a car, and we explained to the sales manager what we where told about of OFFBRAND cars, and she said that WE misunderstood the sales manager on duty that night and told us that we had no clue what we where doing and that WE got the whole story wrong (ENGLISH IS MY NATIVE LANGUAGE), adding insult to injury, she continued to say that TOYOTA IS "THE" BRAND NAME in cars.

Toyota's TOP PEOPLE, Jim Press (who quit, after Sludge Poem 1 was Posted here in August) has known about all the DECEPTION, Mr. Funo, Toyota's current CEO has known, and Mr. Watanabe, the Main Man at Toyota, has known too. They obviously DON'T CARE about how their product is sold and represented. But, that's their choice. And it's also our choice to hold SLUDGEFEST 2008 in Denver, Colorado. Sludgefest 2008 will finally EXPOSE THE CEO's in the Auto Industry, and the people will prevail!!
