I am happy to see people getting together against the evil of companies taking advantage of innocent people. I too was (almost) ripped off. The only thing that saved me was that I am out of work and did not want to take out a loan for this. I also received a letter stating that my baby (not the older child, my 4 months old [at the time]) was "recently brought to our attention." That opening sentence alarmed me! Who KNOWS about my baby and blurts it out to others?!?

I called up and inquired about who brought my child to their attention? The answer was VERY vague. I still inquired about who they were and what they did for the children. I was told to visit their website and so I did. I was startled to find only a several kids on the website (not nearly the amount you would expect for an agency with the amount of work they say they handle, and the years they say they have been in business). Yet, going against my better judgement I inquired some more. I said I don't want to go to their photogropher, so they said I can set up my own website and take pics every 6 months at any photographer and do my own marketing, but the 15% commission fee (if and when my child got a job) would still be due them (listening to me right now, I see how stupid that sounds) because they would handle her paperwork and stuff. Their photographer was in Nesconset.

When I finally said I would think about it, the person on the phone became irate. She said "what is there to think about? If you don't take this opportunity now it will expire!" I said I had to talk to my husband and that is when she said "if you give me all the bank info now, we will start the paperwork and when you call back all we have to do is just process it". I was ready to do so, when I received another phone call I was waiting for so I told her I had to go. She did not even say goodbye or anything, just hung up.

I saved the letter they sent me. I noticed that the address you all have given for this company in NY is different from what I got: 306 Broadway, Lynbrook (516-825-3155), and it's signed "D. Forcier". Thanx for the heads up, and I hope the person/s responsible and accomplices will be brought down HARD.
