Complaint Review: Kids.com

I was also sucked into the scam they are doing at kids.com for child modeling. Only I feel so stupid because I contacted them.

I was interested in getting my daughter into modeling so I looked in the phone book, and there they were, so I called and set up an appointment. His name was Tony Grey, he looked at a couple pictures, and her face to face and said he liked her explained how it works and like a dumby i wrote out the checks.

He told me I could pay in installments because I explained to him I was a single mother of 2 and couldnt afford the whole $595 all at one time. I had a feeling in my head that this wasn't legit, but they showed me pictures of kids that had done ads and the snapshots supposedly taken by their photographers.

two days later I recieved a packet in the mail with the dirctions and how to contact the photographer. Her name was stephanie and she had a buisness called peek a boo studios, yea right. I called over 10 times in a month, she returned my calls once, left me a message, and I never heard from her again.

I wrote out 3 checks $250, $173, and $173. They cashed the one for $250 a few days later, but after I realized I was being scamed I went to the bank and paid $66 to stop payment on the other 2 checks. Where is the justice????
