If you have a loved one that is admitted into Kindred Hospital, please transfer them,A.S.A.P. Kindred hospital is a very bad place for patients and they are very GREEDY and devious! When my father was admitted into Kindred from Desert Springs hospital (another bad hospital) Doctor Das called me on my cell phone that very same day. He told me that there was nothing he could do for my father. I told doctor Das that my father was "just admitted there," and asked him what he meant. Doctor Das said that he thinks that my father should be placed into a group home. I did not know what a group home was and I was curious. I went to look at a couple of group homes and what I saw was unbelievable. The group homes are a private house with a CNA and lots of relatives running around, kids as well.  That is not a good thing for patients that are trying to get well! I called the patient advocate back the next day and told her: "do not ever do that to me , again!"  Bottom line was, they were trying to get rid of my father from day one.

When I went to see my father the next day, he was sleeping and he would often be sleeping most of the times. Kindred loves to administer the drug, ATIVAN to all their patients. When I did see my father one day, he was held down with wrist restraints and his feet were tied as well. It took me ten minutes to remove each wrist restraint, because they were also bound with DUCT TAPE! The wrist restraints were actually cutting off my fathers circulation. The patient advocate there, Kelli Williams and her sidekick, Ingrid Morgan, had the nerve to send me a bill for twenty- four thousand dollars! Without billing my fathers insurance company. first! They also lost my fathers clothes. I saw a CNA going into the draw one day and take out a bag that was in the empty bed next to my father. but did not know that the bag she took out belonged to my father! My father is in a good Nursing home now- thank God. But please do not ever go to Kindred Hospital if you do not have to.
