I joined Kinetix because the price was really good and budget friendly.  One day I went to the gym to work-out and swiped my card as usual.  The new gym manager approached me saying I needed to take a picture that could be used in association with my membership, I refused.  In this day and age with hackers everyone violating people’s personal information and at large firms such as Target, Bank of America, etc...no doubt, why would I trust an organization the size of Kinetix with too much of my personal information, i.e. address as well as a photo of me that can be used illegally, why not just hand me over on a silver platter.

When I expressed my concerns and why I refused as well as offered a solution of showing my ID to the front desk every time I visit, I was told that if I didn't take a picture, I could not use the gym.  Needless to say, I cancelled my membership, via email, since the manager couldn't do it.  About a week or so later, after cancelling, I was charged $40 for gym upgrades without my knowledge nor permission.  I called to speak with management and was told there was nothing that could be done.  So instead of harassing the gym I decided to take to the internet to warn others.
