King Ryan iShowcase Trying to get money without renting the venue first and the event is month away!!!!! Internet
I read warnings about King Ryan events over and over but never heeded the warning. The reason is because I saw the ishowcase events on youtube and it seemed fun and great for apsiring artists looking to move on from the open mic stage to bigger events. King Ryan Showcase is supposed to be at the Hard Rock Cafe on Atlanta on May 18th and the venue has not been rented yet!!!
Before I realized this, I filled out the contract agreeing to pay $300 or sell tickets at $20 a piece. The contract states the tickets that have not been sold must be send back if the amount sold did not add up to $300! Well luckily I DIDNT get the tickets or the money. But I got a phone call yesterday asking for my address to send the tickets. The man on the phone claimed I didnt fill out much on the contract when i DID.
But I didnt put my physical address on it. I noticed the contract says "if he event is cancelled, NO REFUNDS will be given". What fool is going to shell out $300 when the venue has not been rented and the event is a month away! This showcase was supposed to be in March but was CANCELLED because the venue was not rented! I have a deep feeling these people are trying to take $300 from a starry eyed dupe and run!
There are suppsed to be record label execs there but the website NEVER lists who got signed because of the showcase! SCAM!!!!! Don't waste your time or money on this RIPOFF!!!! There are plenty of established events here in Atlanta that's MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE like the Sweet Auburn Festival, Crushhouse Entertainment, Time2Shine Atlanta, A105.com concert series and other events! Why for out $300 to someone who can't offer you s*it much less rent the venue???

I searched all over Youtube and the rest of the net and there isnt ONE performance of the Atlanta Hard Rock Cafe King Ryan Showcase! Did anybody show up??? There are clips of the showcase in Nashville but absolutely NOTHING in Atlanta!

No May 18, 2013 event at the Hark Rock cafe! So if any fool paid these crooks $300 you cant get a refund since it's stated in their contract! THANK GOD I was not duped!!!

Ok so the King Ryan Showcase did rent the event at the Hard Rock Cafe in Atlanta. BUT it still does not change the fact that in 3 years these showcases went on NOBODY has been signed and there are NO updates about the signed Warner Brother artists on the King Ryan website! Plus to send the money they require you CHECKING ACCOUNT! NO Paypal, NO credit/debit card form to fillout on line, NO money orders on their website! They want you to send your banking information! Why is this the only method to send payments with them?

Communication regarding your ticket sales is CRUCIAL to keeping your performance!!!
Please note that your tickets are due within 7 days. You should have received an email with your Online ticket link. This is the most effective way to have people purchase your tickets for you. They can simply log onto your personalized ticket link and purchase a ticket on your behalf to this event.
We will also be mailing out physical tickets that you will be able to sell. Any tickets sold via physical tickets will count towards your required amount just like the Online ticket links.
It has proved to be rather effective when the artists wanted to deposit physical tickets, to simply purchase a pre-paid Visa card and use the ticket proceeds from the physical tickets and buy a group sum of Online tickets.
We think this will prove to be most useful and helpful for those who have difficulties with friends or family members who do not have a Credit or Debit card.
