Kings Haymarket Cleaners in Gainesville, Virginia totally ruined a brand new Polo men's executive dress shirt and would not even acknowledge that they ripped it.  I have used them before and was very satisfied, but this time I went back because I picked up my dry cleaning and a brand new Polo men's dress shirt had the cuff and button hole ripped, quite a large hole that you can put a finger through (definitely would have been noticed when they were cleaning and pressing it, if it was there before).  The gentleman there not only said they did not do it, but said that we did it and to return it to Macy's if it was new.  Accused me of applying the Polo label on the shirt myself, when I pointed out the embroidered logo on the pocket and all the others shirts I took in were all high end as well with not damage.  He became very rude and unprofessional, said he would not do a thing.  I wanted to know what their policy was when they damaged the customer's clothes and he said nothing, they would not pay for anything.  Didn't even discount the dry cleaning or offered any monetary compensation, didn't even apologize for the damage they did.  I would avoid this business as they are not professional like big corporate cleaners, do not belong to any Dry Cleaner or Professional association, they are not members of the local Chamber of Commerce and do not care about their customers and keeping them in a small community with a dry cleaner at every corner.

I am very disappointed and would like to caution others, so that you do not suffer the same fate of losing a brand new $90 shirt to a business that does not own up to its mistakes.  I have been a member of this community and the DoD community since 2000 and will be more selective from now on in choosing a dry cleaner, one with integrity, honesty and that will stand behind their work and mistakes--we all make mistakes but not everyone makes good on them.
