I bought a Kingstgon flash card with $45 mail rebate from B&H Photovideo.
I uncluded all the materials required for the rebate and sent them to Kingston. I even made a photocopy of everything I sent just in case.

Recently I checked the state of the rebate and was surprised to find out that it was rejected because I did not include the original receipt.
When I called the number provided on the rebate website the lady there tried to convince me that the receipt I sent was not the original one ( must have faked one then). When I told her that I had a photocopy of my submission she sounded a bit disappointed and then.. you will not believe it... she said that what I received in the box together with the merchandise was not the origianl receipt, because the original receipt is "a copy of the webform that I filled in when making a purchase.." .
I read for her their own rebate instructions that said exactly opposite then she answered that she would need to go to the warehouse to find my recept and that wouold require a week or so. Nothing has changed in a week so.

In additon the flash card failed in a day of normal use corrupting irreversably all the images I managed to take by them but that is a different story.

After several calls to the rebate center my the online status changed from "invalid" to "received" so I hope the company is working on fixing this.
