i have been to many horse and tack auctions, when you take items in to sell, they always show some of them and at least try to sell it for you.

i sat here for 5 hrs watching them sell peoples items piece by small piece, when my items came up ,they wisked them thru within seconds and sold them by large containers and bags, for a dollar each.without even opening them!

i was searching for a pen to write down my items as they sold and they were already gone before i could stop the sale ,it was that fast.

i went to the office and complained and the lady from another auction that baught most of it ,whom is thier friend said she would not give the stuff back!
in these unopened containers there was a tooled leather purse,60.00 horse curtains,2 prs new boots,a color printer with software,2 pr levi jeans,a horse blanket, misc kitchenware, queen comforter, bug light,lg gold mirror, and 6 never worn, boating life jackets.3 horse statues.
all of wich they are now proudly mailing me a check for the amount of $4.85

Place a Reserve on the item

Most auctions you can place a reserve on it if their is a price you have to get. You might want to do that next time.

What a rip-off next time you could package them differently

Read your report and I feel bad that your stuff only brought $4.85. Maybe next time you could package them differently, like in clear tupper ware type containers to display the items better. Maybe that wouldn't work either...
