Complaint Review: KIRBY

I can not and will not accept that the unethical way Kirby goes about recruiting employers is legal.I am going to gather as many names as possible and take them to court.Thats a promise.This is my story and if you can relate please contact me.The steps they took were very premeditaded,refined and perfected.Step:

#1-Add in paper offering employment at $550.00/wk

#2-During interview assure potential employee the money is real.If they ask why you dont need a resume tell them its because you like their personality,if they ask if theres sales involved tell them no,if they ask what the company is tell them its a cleaning supply distributor.

#3-Perform a 2 day "mandatory" orientation and tell them that they wouldnt be getting paid for it,by this point in the interview they'll be so fired up about the money they probably wont ask why no pay but if they do be clever about the answer.Like well we want to be sure you like our company and that we like you.We dont want to pay someone who's only here for 2 days and decide they dont want the job.Fare enough.

#4-During orientation make them trust you by being nice,buying pizza and breaking down their deffenses.Tell them there will in fact be selling involved but make sure they dont quit by telling them theyre paycheck doesnt depend on how many sales they get.

#5-Tell them on the 2nd day of orientation that they must do 15 demos a week.Sounds simple enough.Thats only 3 appointments a day at about 2 or 3 hours per demo.Monday through Friday.Weekends off-GREAT!!

#6-Let the fun begin.They give you insane contests,pushing you to sell to your friends and family.These are called personal appointments.Then they give you the office appointments.Could it be any easier?But they failed to tell you in orientation that your office appointments are an hour and a half away,in other states and in the ghettos.Then they dont give you any gas money and if you dont sell they tell you that your doing something wrong.

#7-You struggle working All day.You get to the office at 8:30AM for the meetings that last till 9:30 or 10am Then they hand you your morning assignment an hour and a half away.Thats 3 hrs an the road and 3 hours at your demo.Theres six hours gone.Forget eating you have to get two more in today-they give you your next assignment thats about 20 minutes away and this time the demo is about 2 hours thats another 2 and a half hours gone but no time to think its about 6pm and you have to squeeze in one more assignment because if you dont and you dont get any sales you dont get paid this week.So they give you your third asignment which is a half hour away and a 2 and a half hr demo.By 9:30 pm your leaving your last demo,exhausted and frustrated,a whole day wasted $20 dollars out of your own pocket in gas and no sales.And you think Oh my gosh I have to do this again tomorrow,I have to get sales or I have to get 15 appointments.This continues all week long.The last day of the week rolls in and guess what your 2 or 3 away from your goal because they ran out of appointments.You will not be getting a paycheck.And that money for gas?Gone.8:30 am -9:30 pm all week and nothing to show for it except now youre 80 dollars in the hole.They say its your own business,yet they say they'll pay you if you do 15 appointments????They say its your own business but you have to be at the morning meetings????They say its  own business but if you dont show up for an appointment they'll charge you $50.???So its your business when its convenient for them then its theirs.Is that legal?I doubt it.  

You see its all very orchestrated by a very evil corporation.Our mistake was in trusting a company and signing papers without being extremely knowledgable.Documents or not,the justice system was designed to protect the innocent and if I can get enough names I'll personaly get a lawyer and go after them.There are thousands of us.A few misunderstandings in employment are expected but thousands creates an entirely different picture.Call me (((phone number redacted)))
