In 2006 we purchased a Himalayan kitten from Mrs. Milhorn. Soon after getting him home, he was diagnosed with a respiratory infection that the vet. said he had come to us with (i.e., he was sick when we got him from Kisspurz). Then, his testicals didn't drop and he had to have a more intensive neutering surgery than is normally called for. Later he was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes.

After attempts to treat with medicine and several trips out of state to a feline optical specialist office (Carolina Veterinary), the cat did not improve and we had lens extraction/cataract surgery at Carolina Veterinary. (We were told there was a chance this would not work out for him, but we wanted to do the best we could for him.) Before a year was up, both eyes had become inflamed with glaucoma and had to be extracted.

The cat is now fully blind. Both our local vet and the specialists he's seen say the problems are definitely the result of INBREEDING and other poor cattery practices on the part of Kisspurz. We've spent a ton of money on this cat because we love him. Now we are having to take all the steps necessary to live with a blind cat. I wish we'd never heard of Kisspurz!!! Beware!!!
