Complaint Review: Kitchen Collection INC And Flora Campbell

I worked at Kitchen Collection beginning in November of '08. I was very enthusiastic about the job, and same with the manager in hiring me. She said she was so glad she hired me, she wanted me to transfer to her Bridgeport store, and was glad I had Loss Prevention experience.

The manager under her treated me very badly, and would actually yell at me to do work, and never said please or thank you to the other employees. Everyone did their jobs well. We were told so by the store manager.

I told my problem to the store manager and the rumor I heard about the second manager saying I was getting fired and that I was causing problems. Well about five days later, the three of us sit down and discuss the situation. We all said no one had a problem with anybody, but I wanted to know why Molly (2nd manager) was treating me like she was. She denied ever doing so.

They started to say that I didn't do my job (because I would stock the shelves when I was to be helping the few customers we had. But she contradicted this because she told us not to bother the customers) that I was too concerned with dishonest employees. They also both lied about when I placed the original phone call to complain. I was fired for what I dont know but I defended their own suggestions that I followed.

The situation is complicated and hard to explain on here, but I have to say that the company is not fair and mistreats its employees and is not concerned with theft. The store closed shortly after Christmas.

I was poorly treated when I did more than my job required.
