This was the worst job I have ever had and I have even worked at several fast food places back in my day. Every thing started out fine and I had at least 34 hours a week and things were going great. After the busy season they decided to shut down one store in my city and have that manager come over and send my manager to a different store which messed with everyones hours.
After that the manager from the other store left due to not being paid properly so my manager was still being sent to other stores and expecting everyone at my store to cover for her but we werent allowed to go over 28 hours a week and there were only 3 of us to cover and out of the 3 only 2 were able to open and close the store. So that didnt leave many options available, or many days off.
At times I would work 6-7 days a week and leave that week with only 24 hours. Some of my shifts would normally be for 2 or 3 hours a day. Which is a waste of my time. Some how I still offered my service to help my boss out but when it came down to my sons 1st b-day party and I reguested 3 days off a month in advance I was granted it but 2 days before my 3 days off I got asked to work again.
From Jan to the end of May I was working over 5 days a week for less than 25 hours a week. No benefits or flexibitlity when I had something come up. My boss is the only one who was able to miss a month straight and we all had to cover for her and miss out on our family and other things. And not to mention me being the assistant I was paid the same as everyone else and I was never trained on anything except for the basics.
Corporate takes advantage of everyone, there is no room for moving up and if you work at night you have to work by yourself for 4 hours with no break, no going to bathroom, no leaving the sales floor for a drink, nothing. This place sucks. It was the worst job EVER!!!
