You are then whisked to another site which is PORNOGRAPHIC in nature. The site is billed to your credit card account as GOTOBILLS.COM. After a few days you complete the 'research' by filling out a GENERIC SURVEY. Nationwide
I came across the ad on Craiglist: $215 for survey on Human Sexuality. I answered the message, and was immediately contacted by a Mr. David Armond who gave detailed instructions on how the survey was to work and how my information was to be obtained.
After registering with the company, I was redirected to an outside vender whom Kleinman Research very explicitly stated needed to be allowed access to my credit card account information to verify my age and address in order for me to recieve payment. I gave them the information they asked for and was immediately redirected to a porn site.
I filled out the survey and sent it back to the above-referenced email address. Within one day of my completion, I happened to google the research group name and read about the scam. Others were charged up to $150 after filling out the information and/or survey. I immediately went to my credit card account online to find $37.50 was already charged by a group known as GOTOBILLS.COM. At that point, I called my credit card company, alerted them to the scam, and had my account number changed.
