The sales gentleman was polite and said he wants a second chance.  He was selling magazines to make a living now that he is out of the prison.  I was willing to help by buying some magazines from him to send to VA hospitals, Boys and Girls clubs, or any charity organizations.  The first quote was $320, I asked him to reduce it and the last quote was $120.  He filled in an address to send the magazines to in Louisiana, where he came from.  I said I prefer a local charity in my state.  I asked him to show me a list of organizations in my area with addresses so I can pick one.  He could not produce the list.  He said he knows one organization in my area and filled in the address.  The zip code was way wrong so I picked up my iPhone and searched for the address.  The address could not be found with Google map, of course, it was a bogus address.  I was trying to help him by giving him a second chance, but turned out that he and his "company (KLMN Readers Service)" is basically trying to scam me.  I turned him down and bad words came out of his mouth.  He was basically cursing me while he was leaving my front porch.  I think there are better ways to help others, this is not a good one.
