I purchased a child's PC game through this seller on Ebay (they have an Ebay store). As the description noted, it was to be new but came as the disc only, no materials or case.

First thing I noticed when I got it was that they mail out cd's in bubblewrap envelopes and nothing inside to act as a stiffener to protect the cd from bending. Second, the cd was completely see through. I could see right through the printed on label and watch my fingers on the other side. No aluminum layer at all...nothing for the laser to bounce off of in order to read the disc.

When I put it in my computer it immediately locked up my system. Ctrl+alt+del would not even work. I had to turn the computer off. When I restarted it, my computer would not even get past its initial screen. Nothing would load. The disc would not eject. Again I turned off the computer and had to eject the disc the moment I turned it back on.

When I contacted them by email the reply I got was that they could no longer offer technical support due to the legal implications and to contact the manufacturer. What a crock!

They offered me the option to return the disc, at my expense, and if issued a replacement I would have to pay for that shipping as well. Basically I would end up paying twice as much for the thing than what I paid at first.

I have not left feedback on Ebay yet for them as, "due to the high volume of sales", their system is set up to automatically generate feedback but only based on the feedback the buyer gives to them first. What a scam! They would be giving me negative feedback and they were the ones who sold me a "dummy" disc!
