i leased a 2001 kia sportage in 2001 and was put on a 4 year lease, apparently, a 0%interest lease but out payments have increased by almost 100 dollars a month since then. lets first start with the dealership, i explained my situation to the person who dealing with my soon to be lease. i travel a lot including basically driving across country at least once a year as well as a LOT of in province driving so 80,000 km's was simply not enough and i asked if there was an option to get more than that they said yes, but GUARANTEED me i wouldn't need it. the exact words of the salesman was "i guarantee you, no one goes over 20,000 km's a year it will not be a problem", well i'm already at almost 92,000km's on it. secondly they said that there was a warrenty, well that is crap. they NEVER fixed ANYTHING under warrenty. the only thing that they ever fixed was the window motors when they were recalled, but only after i complained about them, and even then the worked for another two months and the back two haven't worked in two years now because they wouldn't fix them a second time. besides the fact, i was NEVER allowed to test drive the vehicle. it has all of the normal problems, and they wouldn't fix anything. i've had the engine entirely rebuilt to try and fix it and after sinking and extra 10 thousand dollars into it, it's still the biggest rip off ever. now they are trying to tell me that i have to pay for everything. there are so many things wrong with this truck i cant even start to explain them. i have called the company MANY MANY times on this and never had one call returned.not ONE. i have complained to the lease company and they simply advised me not to sign ANYTHING when i drop the truck off. i am not sure where to go with this. i feel if anything kia owes ME the money for fixing it so many times!!if anyone has any advice, or even if anyone has been in this situation, please help me!!! thank u!!
