Knot Just Yet is a Washington, DC company that plans bachelorette parties (http://www.knotjustyet.com/) featuring bar and club crawls, spa events and other unique party packages in over 25 US cities including: Miami, Chicago, New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Detroit. Knot Just Yet's services have been featured throughout the media including I Do for Brides magazine and Washingtonian Weddings.

Unfortunately, they are a big scam and extremely unprofessional. I would advise anyone who is considering hiring them to reconsider.

When I first heard of them, they sounded too good to be true. All-inclusive bachelorette party packages so that I didn't need worry about contacting multiple restaurants, clubs, bars, and car service companies? Sign me up!

However, from the beginning they were difficult to work with. They did not return phone calls and could only answer simple questions about pricing and their packages with vague answers. Then, once I decided to book through them, they sent me paperwork that I was told I did not to sign until the limo picked us up. But I was told that I needed to send a check 30% deposit for the entire package. When I inquired about using a credit card, I was told this was not possible and that this was their policy for years. This raised a red flag inside me but I chose to ignore this, still enamored with the idea of not having to haggle with individual vendors for weeks. So I sent them my check and I was told I would be contacted by an event planner within 3 days of receipt of my deposit.

Two weeks went by and I still did not hear from a planner. I finally got a hold of a live person, Eddie Williams, and he apologized profusely and told me that my planner had been assigned and that I did not need to worry. He said that Knot Just Yet doesn't typically begin planning things until 3 weeks before the event. This made me uncomfortable because I wanted to send out invitations and collect money from the party attendees. He gave me the phone number of the event planner, Michelle, and told me to call her directly. For a week or two, Michelle and I were in touch and began planning the event. Then, she dropped off the face of the planet. I left her an angry email and voice mail and she finally called me back, letting me know she was having personal problems and could no longer help me. She advised that Eddie would be my new event planner and that he would be in touch. Eddie never called. After several emails/calls, I got Eddie on the phone and he told me not to worry about anything. He would plan my event in a few hours. Those hours passed and then Eddie dropped off the face of the planet.

At this point, I knew I could not trust this company to plan anything and risk ruining my sister's special evening out before her wedding. Instead, I planned the entire event myself and cut my losses. In the meantime, I continued to pursue Knot Just Yet for a refund. During this time, I discovered that the phone number and mailing address on the website had changed, Michelle had mysteriously left the company, and they now had a 3rd party answering service taking down all their messages.

Finally, I did receive a call from the infamous Eddie. He promised to still plan my event at no additional charge, to which I replied "No way, give me my money back". He said he could not do that because he had already paid the limo service. He asked if I wanted to just use the limo service and I considered this if he could provide the limo company, the contact person and reservation number, so I could work with them directly. At this point, he offered me half my deposit, most likely because there was no limo company and contact information for him to give me. It was all a big sham. He confirmed in email the amount and said I would receive a check within 1-2 weeks.

Needless to say, I was never sent a check and to this day and I still cannot get in touch with anyone from Knot Just Yet.

I just thank goodness that I didn't trust Knot Just Yet to actually ruin my sister's Bachelorette Party and we had a fantastic time with the itinerary I planned myself. Unfortunately, some others have had very bad experiences: (((Redacted)))
