Knowles Animal Clinic In S Miami Told me one price, charged me another for spaying of 9lb dog Miami Florida
I brought my then 1 yr old, 9 lb chihuahua to Knowles to be spay. They quoted me a price of $250 which I thought was high, but I wanted her to be well taken care of. They insist on keeping the pets over night, saying in included a bath etc.
When I went to pick her up the next day, they told me there was blood in her urine and that could mean an infection. I said she did not have one when I dropped her off, it must be from the surgery. They ended up charging me $365. ($115 more then they quoted me.)
I had to pay for the test on urine, antibiotics and $30 for an extra shot of morphine? I thought pain killers were included, I mean it is surgery. I was made to pay for circumstances they caused. Anyway, they would not release her till I paid in full and she was so tramatized they could not give her a bath.

The vet cant pay for you. You took on the responsibility of a dog and that means YOU have to take care of it! Whether it's cleaning up its poop or paying for the vet bills. It's a child! If the vet didnt require you to pay the 1000 dollars up front you probably wouldn't have paid it if you didn't have it at that point.
Next time you get a dog, think about what it might need from you if it ever gets hurt. If the dog had died that night it would have been your fault, not the vets.
I actually go to knowles, and the main doctor who owns the clinic, saved both my dog's lives from extreme situations. One had parvo when he was a puppy and was a day away from dying. He saved him. The other got hit by a car, both hips shattered and a broken leg. HE SAVED HER!
Dont ruin their reputation because you fail to recognize the responsibilities that come along with a puppy.
