Greetings,

I am sorry to report that this company has ripped-off many US personnel. It is their policy to pay a cabbie 25% to drive you to their "fancy" store. While inside they are aware that you are not too familiar with alot of there local products.

For example, I was served by a man named Abdul. His whole focus at first was to sell very expensive rugs/carpets with an aggressive hostile attitude. The next stop on his tour was to pass on junk (very nice looking junk) jewelry as solid temple gold enamel necklaces. The asking price starts off at about $900.00 and usually will drop to about $650.00. The piece of jewelry that is sold is nothing more then a process called LAC.

You can google it to see the process and what it exactly is. In short, it is a process using a hollow metal shell and filling it with a "wax" called Lac. The jewelry comes out looking very nice and expensive, however, it is very cheap to make and will break easily.

If you look on ebay you will see the products I am talking about selling from $6.00-$30 US (or 100 times what Abdul and KOHINOOR sells it for). They also are in the business of selling cheap wool and soft cotton shawls and passing them for Cashmere. Sure we can label alot of these US personnel suckers. But a lot of them are young service men away from home for the first time. It breaks my heart to see them devastated because they were taken by this pararstic company.

Please beware of Koohinor in Goa India.
