In early November 2005 I put a deposit on a puppy bred by the Kool's. In mid November our puppy became very ill and the Kool's brought her in to have emergency surgery due to a bacterial overgrowth in the intestine. Mrs. Kool was open about the illness and the surgery for intussusception, however she was not entirely open about the extent of it. Mrs. Kool kept in contact with us and constantly reassured us the puppy was recovering well, her diet was under control, and there was no reason to believe there would be any long-term issues. This is not uncommon in human babies even, and it CAN be fine.

On December 20th, three days after we picked up the puppy, it became very apparent she was not doing well. I called the Kool's residence before we went to the vet, they did not answer, nor did she return my calls for a day. They told us if any diarrhea or vomiting occurred, to get to the vet right away as it could aggravate her sutures. The puppy had both, violently, with bleeding. It obviously could not wait long. I left a message explaining the situation and that qualifies reasonable notice. I also left her my cell phone number.

I have a list of the six different medications/treatments we had to give her a day in order for her to keep food down long enough to absorb it. (which was all of 5-10 minutes). We incurred veterinary bills in the amount of $624.90 between December 20th and December 21st, 2005, due to an overnight stay at the veterinary clinic and multiple tests. Portions of these charges were to verify that she had not ingested a foreign object. Had the Kool's been honest about the extent of the surgery there would have been no need to run most of these tests. The receptionist at their vet gave our Doctor the full explanation about the intussusception surgery. Apparently it was VERY extensive. Our vet said he was shocked at how much intestine their vet had been wiling to remove from such a young puppy.

MEDICATIONS / Required TREATMENTS

Pancrezyme Power tps with each meal, 3 times a day

Amoxi tablets 2 times a day.

Amforal tablet tablet 3 times a day

Amfora Suspension (yellow liquid) 3CC's, 3 times a day

Anti Diarrheal (brown liquid) 2. 5 CC's, 3 times a day

Canned I/D- 3 times per day

Finally, the next day we were in contact with the Kool's, she told us several times they would help with the vet bills and that they wanted to make it right. Then the next day, she followed those statements with lengthy telephones message left at home, while we were at work (so long in fact she had to call back twice to finish her story on the machine), stating that they would not be paying because the Kool's had not approved the visit or treatments beforehand.

In the end they allowed us to return the puppy a few days after Christmas, they drove halfway to meet us and refunded our purchase price. The puppy continued to be ill during that time.

DOCUMENTATION
I found my folder with all the documents from the Kools. It states that our puppy was born October 9, 2005. When we picked her up we received a package with many enclosures.

Copies of the parents' AKC records.
Mother: Montana the mountain lion, WR07218302
Date of Birth: September 6, 2002

Then there are a series of records from Animal Clinic, Inc in Grand Rapids with names and dates crossed out and written over with red ink. Mrs. Kool informed me the new receptionist at the vet had trouble keeping track of all the dogs, and this was her explanation for the corrections.

Examples:
(1) New Names pups is crossed out and changed to Montana dated October 20, 2005.
(2) Miracle's pups is crossed out and changed to Montana dated December 2, 2005.
(3) General Pup to Montana's Pups, dated September 22, 2005 (2 weeks before our puppy's date of birth)

Then there is a bill for Grenade (our puppy) dated November 15, 2005. Referencing her surgery. It also includes paperwork for Bella's surgery, on November 16, 2005, including medications: Cephalexin (to treat a variety of bacterial infections) and Deramaxx (for chronic Osteoarthrist). They continued to breed her after this date.

Then there are a series of puppy care sheets. On one named Large-Breed Puppy Food, she notes to only change her feedings from 2 times a day from 3 x day on our vet's recommendation due to her intussesception. They recommended until 16 wks old, so January 29, 2005. It also notes that as of December 15, 2005 she weighed 10 1/2 pounds. I was informed this was due to her illness.

There are policies, guarantees etc, largely they can be found on the website but have changed since 2005.

I have photographs of the Mother, Father , full litter and my puppy taken by the Kool's.

FOLLOW UP

Pat Kool called my home again in spring of 2007 offering us another puppy at no cost to us, I declined.

In October of 2007 I filed my complaint with the BBB. She proceeded to call me a liar, and then offer me a puppy 3 times over, with a deadline of December 2007. I declined this as an acceptable resolution.

I have every document noted above. I am not here to defame, only to inform others of my personal experience so that potential customers and make an informed decision. I have not been prompted to do so by any competitor.

Jolene Houghtaling, owner of Hudsons Malamutes & Huskies, involved in starving and abusing dogs to frame other breeders. Jolene Houghtaling, owner of Hudsons Malamutes & Huskies, and Kiskakon Malamutes located in Allen, MI, and owned by Dawn McClellan are trying to ruin other breeders' businesses:

In September 2008, Kool Alaskan Malamutes came into the knowledge that Jolene Houghtaling, owner of Hudsons Malamutes & Huskies, was involved in starving and abusing dogs to frame other breeders for grudges that she held against these breeders. She possibly also did this to put these breeders out of business so that she could gain the entire Alaskan Malamute market. Jolene Houghtaling published starved and abused dog pictures on the internet stating that these other breeders did this. Jolene Houghtaling also spread the word around to stay away from buying from certain breeders. A number of Alaskan Malamutes breeders went out of business due to this tactic of Jolene Houghtaling.

Dawn McClellan, owner of Kiskakon Malamutes located in Allen, MI, is now helping Jolene Houghtaling, owner of Hudsons Malamutes & Huskies, ruin other breeders' businesses.

Kool Alaskan Malamutes stuck up for one of these breeders in October 2008 that Jolene Houghtaling framed with starved and abused pictures. Jolene Houghtaling then had her lawyer unrightfully shut down our website in the beginning of 2009 because we were publishing the truth on our website of how Jolene Houghtaling, owner of Hudsons Malamutes & Huskies, had spread slander on the internet about this breeder. Jolene Houghtaling lied and said that we had slander on our website. But of course, ALL of the evidence shows that Jolene Houghtaling is the guilty one who starved and abused the innocent Malamutes and also swindled Malamutes by use of a third party to gain all of the bloodlines that she wanted.

Jolene Houghtaling then had Wildpaw Malamute forum members write Ripoff Reports and other bad reviews against Kool Alaskan Malamutes starting the very end on January 2009 to get back at us for publishing the truth on our website in defense of this breeder. Then, Jolene Houghtaling, owner of Hudsons Malamutes & Huskies, served lawsuits on us and the breeder that we helped, using the false witness of Dawn McClellan, owner of Kiskakon Malamutes located in Allen, MI, to get back at the breeder that we helped. Both Jolene Houghtaling and Dawn McClellan lied under oath at the lawsuit for the breeder that we helped.

Jolene Houghtaling, owner of Hudsons Malamutes & Huskies, also is using domain names for Cascade Alaskan Malamutes and Wakon Alaskan Malamutes in order to get puppy buyers to come to her rather than go to them. This is unethical and shady.

BEWARE of the supporting, joining, and buying puppies from the members/owners of the various Alaskan Malamute breeders, forums, and breed clubs such as Hudson's Malamutes & Huskies owned by Jolene Houghtaling, Kiskakon Malamutes located in Allen, MI, and owned by Dawn McClellan, Wildpaw Malamute forum, the Alaskan Malamute Club of America (AMCA), and Golden Years Alasakn Malamute Rescue. They have been and/or are involved in one and/or more of the following unethical practices:

1. Bashing other breeders.

2. Publishing and speaking lies about other breeders.

3. Feeding the dogs in their care less than quality dog food because they did not and/or do not have the money to buy quality dog food.

4. Member(s) dumping Malamutes in kill shelters.

5. Members posting slanderous reviews and reports about other breeders.

6. Taking steps to destroy the businesses of other breeders.

7. Publishing lies about their dogs' weights to sell their puppies.

8. Hounding and stalking other breeders.

9. Using the domain names of other breeders to get their business.

10. Telling people that they come into contact with to stay away from buying puppies from certain breeders.

11. Telling people that they come into contact with that their Malamutes are better than other breeders' Malamutes.

12. Knowingly breeding Malamutes with hip dysplasia.

According to our head vet, show breeders (of which most of these clubs' members consist of) are involved in unethical practices. When our head vet was involved in showing himself, he became aware that show breeders regularly, as ONE example only, fed their dogs arsenic to make their coats nicer looking to help their dog win the shows. With arsenic being a heavy metal, our head vet knows that it will kill the dog. The show breeders say, oh well, as long as I win the show that is all that counts. This is deplorable.

Our OFA vet says that show breeders are the worst with bringing HD (hip dysplasia) into the lines of each breed. All that show breeders are concerned with (despite what their websites indicate) is WINNING. They will breed dogs with OFA hip dysplasia if they are champions or have champions in their lines. This is deplorable.

Jolene Houghtaling, owner of Hudson's Malamutes & Huskies, is unethical and is trying to ruin other breeders' businesses:

1. Posting slanderous reviews and ads against other breeders.

2. Posting slanderous articles on her own website against other breeders.

3. Getting other people to post slanderous ads and reviews against other breeders.

4. Starving and abusing dogs to frame this on other breeders because Jolene was mad at these other breeders.

5. Is a friend of Wildpaw Malamute forum members. Wildpaw Malamute forum members are saying horrible things about Kool Alaskan Malamutes.

Jolene Houghtaling, owner of Hudson's Malamutes & Huskies, is also involved in unethical breeding practices:

1. Breeding dogs with hip dysplasia to get puppies from the lines of the dogs who have the hip dysplasia.

2. Using a cattle prod on her dogs when they dig out to teach them not to do it again. The proper thing to do is to cement under the fence so that they cannot dig out.

3. Has dogs that live together that fight to the extent of ripping each others ears off.

4. Lies about her dogs weights to sell her puppies.

Kool Malamutes...I'd buy from them again...

Kool Malamutes...I'd buy from them again...

I stumbled upon the Kool Malamutes accidently.

I'm laying out the background for finding Kool's...
I had purchased a 'malamute' from a Tennesee breader circa June 2004. Our buddy died quite suddenly just after his 4th birthday. He had always had health problems. However, he got the best vet treatment money and friendship can buy.
He went from a healthy 150 pound malamute mix to a dead dog in 48 hours. We were stunned and our vets just as stunned and crushed as we were. He was loved by all and our vets always treated him as their own. Our grief was overwhelming.
There was a huge hole in our lives.

I was just surfing Mal sites and stumbled upon Kool's. They had some pups and some adult animals that looked just like a Mal-Sam mix I had for 13 years that was the predecessor of the Tennessee Mal.

So I called the Kools and spoke briefly with Mr. Kool. He told me that I really needed to speak to Pat. Later on in the day, Pat Kool returned returned my call. I told her what had happened some 8 months prior, and that I was considering acquiring another Mal (actually one of her Sam-Mal mixes). She told me I needed to fill out her questionaire before we could speak about purchase. The questionaire was very thorough. I submitted it. Pat emailed me back with more questions she would like answered. I did that. She also wanted to speak with my vets if possible. I said sure and informed my vet that they would be receiving a call from a breeder concerning how we cared for our dogs. She did indeed contact my vets. I went through 3 grueling phone interviews with Pat. She apologized, but she wanted to know how her pups would fare with us.

I thought about it and it occured to me that she was committed to placing her pups in the best of homes, and that they would receive the best care and love.

She finally agreed to sell me a pup. I told her I wanted a Mal-Sam mix, preferably white with biscuit markings. She told me she had a litter coming around the first of December. We agreed on the price, I first in line for pick of the litter. I wired her the deposit and received a statement from her with in days. The litter arrived and Pat immediatly sent pictures of the pups feeding. I saw the one I wanted almost right away. Once a week she sent pictures and updates. She also provided me with the OFA certs for the daddy and mama. We spoke by phone at least once a week as well.

Finally, it was time for Orvis to come home to the Mississippi Coast. Pat shipped Orvis to our local airport about 30 minutes away.

Orvis arrived in a rather expensive crate, bedded in towels, clean, healthy, but just a tad dissoriented. He sat in my wife's lap with a heavy towel (ours) all the home...I might add he tried to slip into my lap as well.

Orvis came into our home that he would share with two rescue dogs we have. He fit right in.

He's 7 months old now. About 80 pounds, smart and sharp...A true joy and a wonderful puppy. He's almost magic....

We still stay in touch with the Kools and send them updated images and just chat.
Pat Kool is a good and caring person. She is devoted, at least to us, and loves to hear how Orvis is doing. I have never known a breeder that showed so much concern.

My wife and I are old enough to know that Orvis will be our last 'big dog'.
However, I would highly reccomend Kool's to anyone that wants a good dog and a breeder that cares about her pups...

Positive Experience with Kool Alaskan Malamutes!!

I am writing because I want to make people aware of my positive experience with Kool Kennels. After recently losing my beloved husky/chow mix to a brain tumor (not purchased from Kool Alaskan Malamutes), I had been looking for a few months for a new addition to my family. Thankfully I stumbled across Kool Kennels on the internet and wrote to Pat Kool. She was very compassionate about my loss and incredibly helpful and thorough in questioning everything about me that would affect placement of one of her puppies in my home. I also felt very comfortable asking her questions and she responded within a day (usually within a few hours) of my many emails. Most people may have been frustrated with the 30+ emails, but not Pat, she was willing to answer all my questions and was especially accommodating. I asked to get the puppy at 7 weeks old, and she made special arrangements to bring the puppy in early to the vet so I could drive (from NY to Michigan) to pick up my puppy. That's right, I didn't want to wait 8 weeks to ship the puppy and it was very important to me that I find the right puppy that I could sense a bond with. Also, I have cats and I didn't want an older dog to think of them as prey. She said I could have pick of the litter, and remained true to her word.

When I got to the Kennel, Jim Kool and his daughters greeted us warmly and brought out Bella (the mommy of the puppy we were strongly leaning towards). What a wonderful dog! She immediately came over to me and my father and was kissing us happily. She was clean, happy and very good natured and obviously well cared for. Then we were allowed to play with 2 puppies from squishy's litter. All white puppies who were also very clean, happy and taken care of. Jim answered all of our questions, offered to show us around and see the father of the puppy we were leaning towards. We were given plenty of time to make our decision and to just play with the puppies.

Our puppy was given a bath and brought out to us swaddled in a towel and was the cutest thing EVER! She was so well behaved on the 12 hour ride home, I was amazed, there are people who are less well behaved in the car than that puppy. She's been home for a little while now, and already gets along great with my two cats. She's perfectly healthy and everyone who's seen her not only glows about how gorgeous she is, but just how sweet and loving she is. I have nothing but good things to say about Kool Kennels and my experience there.

I'd like to add, I read the negative rip off reports right before I went to pick up my puppy and I was genuinely concerned if not terrified that I was going to walk into a puppy mill situation. Thankfully, that was NOT the case!!! People looking to purchase puppies from Kool Alaskan Malamutes should not be swayed by the negativity splashed all over this forum, I was just there and didn't see or experience anything negative at all. And after 12 hours in a car and having the posts on this site in the forefront of my brain I was hyper-vigilant about any poor treatment of animals or deplorable conditions I might encounter. In summation, I don't think anyone will be disappointed by getting a puppy from Kool Kennels. They are the most beautiful, happy, healthy and wonderful dogs and the conditions in which they were kept looked good to me. I am a huge animal rights advocate and I saw nothing but loving, caring dog owners in the Kools. In fact I'm definitely looking to get another puppy from them in the future since our puppy has already infused the house with so much joy and laughter. I can't speak for others, but personally, my experience was wonderful. I'm reminded of that and how thankful I am that I found them every time I see my little puppy's face.

Kool Alaskan Malautes: What a WONDERFUL place to purchase a Malamute!!

A wonderful place to purchase a Malamute!

I found the Kool website on Puppyfind when I was shopping for a Giant Malamute for my son, who purchased a wonderful AKC giant male in November. In browsing the site, my husband saw Snow's gray male, 3/4 malamute and 1/4 samoyed, and he fell in love. Both puppies were flown to California, Maxx arriving with a rare 14 inches of snow. Our inquiries as to their progress, growth, temperament, shipping needs--were all addressed within hours at the most, often while I was still online, and the Kools worked with us every step of the way. Both puppies arrived in the California desert in excellent health. When I walk Maxx, drivers stop to ask where I acquired such a beautiful dog. I would not hesitate to purchase from the Kools based on email communications and photographs, wherever I lived.

First, Deramaxx is fully defined on it's proprietary website and there is a click able full product explanation on the bottom of the page. It makes no mention of dental procedure treatment. See Deramaxx.com.

I never insinuated hip dysplasia, not once did I mention dysplacia. I stated I have Vetirinary records indicating your vet treated Bella with Deramaxx which is for Osteorarthrits. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease that affects a dog's joints.

Secondly, as for this Jolene Houghtaling of Hudson's Malamutes & Huskies you have mentioned in this rebuttal and others. I had never heard of her before.

Thirdly. It is clear your understanding of legal terminology needs some assistance. When you take things out of context, don't fully understand them, or omit pieces you change the meanings completely (much like you did in your quotes about Deramaxx's use by cutting off the part about Osteoarthrits).

Legal terms you clearly do not fully understand and may wish reconsider alleging in printed form: Libel, Slander, Misrepresentation, Defamation.

Legal terms you may want to consider having explained by someone who fully understands their applicable situations. Fair Comment, Malice, and Defraud.

I wish to correct my typing error from my original post from and to can, so again, I am not here to defame, only to inform others of my personal experience so that potential customers can make an informed decision. I have not been prompted to do so by any competitor.

Now in response to some of your allegations and/or statements made.

April said that she was afraid that Grenade maybe ate a leaf or something when they were outside.

This occurred in December, Northern Michigan 2005, I'd have to get an official weather report but it's a safe bet there were no leaves around, due to the pre-existing condition of snow.

April dropped the puppy off at the vet earlier in the morning so that she could, we assume, get to work on time.

Key word here is assume. Time I called Kools: 7 am. Time I called Vet 7:05 am. Time I was due to work: 8 am. Time Vet opened 9 am. I did not get to work on time, nor did I care, nor did I go to work at all that day. I phoned my boss later from the Vet's office. I brought her in as soon as possible because she was very ill and as any reasonable person would agree, needed medical attention.

And, those ridiculous vet receipt staements again that are slanderous. Here we do what we think is reputable to show that worming items are actually purchased, and just because our vet clinic has their choice of ways to record things, then some people think they are false receipts. IF THEY WERE FALSE, THEN WE WOULD NOT GIVE THEM OUT. WHY WOULD WE??????:

This is a good example of why people sometimes make Misprepresentations Noun: misstating facts to obtain money, goods or benefits of another to which the accused is not entitled

(1) New Names" pups is crossed out and changed to Montana" dated October 20, 2005.

It does not say purchased Nemex (dewormer) on my records, it says Perfomed on General Pups. They listed purchased medications elsewhere as such with a DISP which is disbursal.

(2) Miracle's pups" is crossed out and changed to Montana" dated December 2, 2005.

Record indicate Performed DHLPP and Fecal Flotation.

(3) General Pup" to Montana's Pups, dated September 22, 2005 (2 weeks before our puppy's date of birth)

This references DISP: DITRIM and not the Nemex (dewormer). There is red ink here stating * Ditrim for Coccidia . Started on 11/18/05.

A puppy is not born with the coccidia organisms in his intestine. However, once born, the puppy is frequently exposed to his mother's feces, and if the mother is shedding the infective cysts in her feces, then the young animals will likely ingest them and coccidia will develop within the young animal's intestines.

Kool Alaskan Malamutes: A GREAT place to purchase a puppy!!!!

#10REBUTTAL Owner of company

Mon, March 23, 2009

Some of the people that have written Ripoff Reports recently against Kool Alaskan Malamutes, if not all of those that have, are a part of a dog forum that does not like Kool Alaskan Malamutes for unjust reasons Possibly, Jolene Houghtaling of Hudson's Malamutes & Huskies is a part of this dog forum under a false name egging the members on against us. If you notice, ALL of the Ripoff Rports against Kool Alaskan Malamutes have ALL been written in the last month between 2/23/09 to 3/22/09. This is right at the HEIGHT of a conflict between Kool Alaskan Malamutes and Hudson's Malamutes And, each of these people have bought from or adopted form Kool Alaskan Malamutes 9 months to a little over 3 years ago, AND they are all FINALLY writing Ripoff Reports against us!! A coincidence????

April Wright states: "I am not here to defame." But as you can see from the definitions of defame and slander, the utterance of misrepresentations which defame is slander which is illegal. April conveniently tell only parts of the story as well as insinuates false charges and lies about some things.

Definition of defame: to harm the reputation of by libel or slander.

Definition of slander: 1 : the utterance of false charges or misrepresentations which defame and damage another's reputation 2 : a false and defamatory oral statement about a person.

Definition of libel: 2 a: a written or oral defamatory statement or representation that conveys an unjustly unfavorable impression b (1): a statement or representation published without just cause and tending to expose another to public contempt (2): defamation of a person by written or representational means.

Definition of misrepresentation: misrepresent: 1 : to give a false or misleading representation of usually with an intent to deceive or be unfair.

April Wright put a deposit on a puppy that we called Grenade that was born on 10/9/05. All breeders if they are honest will tell you that there is a puppy from time to time that becomes ill for a number of reasons. They usually die, though. Grenade did become ill at 5 weeks old. She was brought in as an emergency after hours, and one of our vets who was working that night asked if we would rather have her put down or have the surgery done. Out of the mercy of our heart, we opted for the over $1000 surgery. Grenade did quite well with it all. April was informed FULLY and TRUTHFULLY of the problem with all of the information that Kool Alaskan Malamutes was given by the vet who did the surgery. Grenade was NOT diagnosed by our vet with bacterial overgrowth. April's statements that "Had the Kool's been honest about the extent of the surgery" and "she was not entirely open about the extent of it," are slanderous false statements.

We gave April the option of not taking Grenade but she insisted that she was the puppy that she wanted. She took Grenade when she was around 10 weeks old, FIVE weeks sfter the surgery. Several days to 5 days after April took Grenade home, she left a message on our answering machine in the early morning and dropped Grenade of at her vet so that she could go onto work. Pat DID call April back the SAME day, so another slanderous false statement that April has made that "nor did she return my calls for a day." April also made only ONE call, not "calls." It is questionable if April left her cell #. At one point, April said that she was afraid that Grenade maybe ate a leaf or something when they were outside, hence, most likely the reason why the vet did the testing to check if Grenade ate anything that she should not have.

If April would have waited for a call back, Kools would have told her that they were coming to get Grenade rather than let April bring her to her vet. April dropped the puppy off at the vet earlier in the morning so that she could, we assume, get to work on time. She then authorized on her own to allow her vet to do the testing that he/she did. We were not going to pay for an unnecessary vet bill. April claims that "They told us if any diarrhea or vomiting occurred, to get to the vet right away as it could aggravate her sutures. The puppy had both, violently, with bleeding. It obviously could not wait long." More false slanderous statements: Grenade's surgery was done FIVE weeks before. There were NO sutures left any more! Sutures are NEVER left in for FIVE weeks. Our guarantee also states that WE MUST authorize a vet visit BEFORE the puppy is brought to the vet or our guarantee is void.

Also, April's insinuation that Bella is not fit to breed is slanderous. April conveniently uses definitions that fit HER desires of what SHE wants to portray here:

"Then there is a bill for Grenade" (our puppy) dated November 15, 2005. Referencing her surgery. It also includes paperwork for Bella's surgery, on November 16, 2005, including medications: Cephalexin (to treat a variety of bacterial infections) and Deramaxx (for chronic Osteoarthrist). They continued to breed her after this date.

Bella had surgery. Cephalexin is ALWAYS used for possible infections after surgery. Dermaxx is used for pain control after surgery:

Uses of Cephalexin

Cephalexin is used in both dogs and cats to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including skin infections, wound infections, bone infections, pneumonia, and bladder infections.

In Bella's case, Cephalexin was used to control possible infection from surgery wounds.

Deramaxx

Deramaxx is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) belonging to the COX-2 inhibitor class of medications. This medication is used in dogs for the control of pain and inflammation. Deramaxx is available as beef flavored, scored, chewable tablets.

What is Deramaxx: Deramaxx is a nonsteroidal ant-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Deramaxx works by reducing substances that cause pain, inflammation, and fever in the body. Deramaxx is used to reduce pain associated with surgery or dental procedures. Deramaxx is also used for the treatment of inflammation and stiffness as a result of conditions such as arthritis or hip dysplasia. Deramaxx may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this guide.

Deramaxx is used to reduce pain associated with surgery or dental procedures. Which is why it was used for Bella. Call the Animal Clinic, Inc at 616-241-3651 if you question that.

April is insinuating that the Deramaxx was used for Bella for chronic Osteoarthritis which is typical in dogs with hip and elbow dysplasia.

See Bella's OFA results below. She has OFA certified hips and elbows that are free of the hip dysplasia and elbow dysplasia that April is insinuating that Bella has. More false slanderous comments for April:

And, those ridiculous vet receipt staements again that are slanderous. Here we do what we think is reputable to show that worming items are actually purchased, and just because our vet clinic has their choice of ways to record things, then some people think they are false receipts. IF THEY WERE FALSE, THEN WE WOULD NOT GIVE THEM OUT. WHY WOULD WE??????:

Vet Receipts:
Kool Alaskan Malamutes purchases large bottles of required worming medicine from our vet clinic. Our vet clinic's procedure is to put the worming medicine when purchased in one of our dog's names. This is their choice of operation. These bottles of required worming medicines last for months, therefore, the date of purchase is crossed of and updated with the dates that the puppy litter received their required worming medicine. The name that OUR vet puts the receipt in is crossed off because it obviously does not pertain to the specific puppy litter that the receipt is being used for. A vet receipt for worming is used to give to puppy buyers to show that we do buy the particular types of worming medicines mentioned.

So, 250-500 ct. bottles are purchased and vet receipts are made out as described above. Make sense????

LASTLY, when Grenade came back to us, she had ZERO diarrhea and vomiting and NO blood and we elected NOT to give her all of the medicine that April gave us from her doctor. On 1/2/06, Grenade went to live with a dear couple who live in the UP of MI. After April contacted the BBB, Pat called Harold, the husband, to see how Grenade was doing, if she has had any problems since the last time he and her spoke, and if it was worth Kool Alaskan Malamutes spending over $1000 on Grenade's surgery vs. having her put down since at that point we then had a BBB record from April even if the BBB determined that Kool Alaskan Malamutes provided proper verification that indicated there was no obligation to resolve the issues of the complaint. And Harold said YES, it was worth it!! He and his wife LOVE her AND had absolutely NO problems with her!!
