Koon Ford Of Baltimore ripoff Windsor Mill Maryland
Looking for used car for son to drive to work until he can afford a better auto. Informed that Koons Ford wholesale manager Ron Allen selling private car. Informed that car had 73,000 miles, was well maintained and would last well into the 100,000 mile range. Paid a little over Blue Book price for 1993 Ford Taurus Excellent Condition ($2100.00) Title and odometed showed 73,000. Title states ACTUAL miles not ESTIMATED... there are choices on the form! Multiple problems start to occur, Ron Allen suggested bringing car to Koons Ford Service Center for inspection. Serviceman informed me that car has "173,000+ miles, needs major repairs and has internal engine problems."(Car could die at any time!)Ron Allen disputes the Service Dept. of his employer "They will tell you the engine is bad when it is not.... I will look for an used engine for the car. I can get someone to put it in for you!" Ron Allen states 173,000 miles stated prior to sale! Statement made by Ron Allen against his company as well as refernce to looking for another engine sparks SCAM ALERT! Important: The sale of an employee's vehicle took place on the premise of Koons Ford Used Car lot specifically the exchange of money and delivery of the vehicle. All conversations about the vehicle occurred in Ron Allen's office located in the new car showroom! Some other Koons Ford employees knew that illegal transactions were taking place via the used auto lot! Car remained on lot for 2 days until tags received...but knowbody noticed it and nobody said a word when my son placed tags on it and drove it off the lot! Right!! Ron Allen, seller and wholesale manager did not want to refund any amount of my money! Koons salesmanager John Holiday gets involved and verifies mileage of car being 173,000+ he reports incident to his boss General Manager Dennis Koulatsos who gets involved. Both acknowledge that I have been ripped-off by Ron Allen! Blue book value for a 173,000 Taurus in poor condition far from what was paid. Koons Ford tries to settle issue without publicity and law suit as "Mr Allen's job may be on the line, he's been an excellent employee for over 9 years." Koons Ford buys the 1993 Tauras and a 2006 used Taurus is purchased after I refuse the deals at the new car lot because I could not afford the payments! NO CAR DEAL NOT RETURN OF MONEY! At the time when title is signed ,used car manager "Gill" does not want me to fill in the area of the odometer reading and check extimated reading box! When informed of the mileage on the car: actual plus 100,000 manager Gill states "I don't know that! You have your money!" Gill gets more angry as I explain my concern in failing to document the actual miles; this is how I was bamboozled! Gill states; "I don't know that!" in reference to the true mileage despite verification from records at the service dept.and what I am telling him! Koons Ford and it's reps. think this is a joke! Koons Ford will sell a rolled-over vehicle at the highest price and will not inform the seller! They will cover-up for their corrupt employees! Koons Ford of Baltimore managers cannot be trusted! A corrupt employee's plot is disquised and then the company uses identical tactics to sell the car to another broke individual! People need to be informed! And lastly, I had to make a car deal to get some of my money back from the dealer not Ron Allen!
