Complaint Review: J.C.S. Leasing And Rentals Kotten Enterprises

I ended my employment after 5 weeks of employment for several reasons. I had to wait a week until normal pay day for my owed wages. when that pay day came around they issued me a check for $771.90 which was one weeks wages. this was on a friday at 5pm. i wasnt able to make it to my bank in time so i took it to walmart and they wouldnt cash the check. the bank in walmart wouldnt cash it either. so i waited until the bank which the pay roll check is issued threw opened the following morning and they informed me that they could not cash the check because there were no funds in the account to cover the check.

when the secretary at j.c.s. leasing Kotten enterprises was contacted and was told about the check she said "OH CRAP"(other words were used) its 11:30 I will have to call Steve (the owner) and call you back. when she finally called back she said that he wouldn't be able to make it to the bank before it closes and that i would have to wait until Monday when they can deposit the money in to the bank so i can finally get paid. i have 3 more weeks worth of checks i am now worried about.

I will be filing a complaint with the Dept. of labor and if i'm not compensated fully first thing Monday morning i will be in contact with a lawyer. this isn't the first time. a quick search on Google showed that i'm not the first person to be done like this.
