Kraftmaid Cabinetry Terrible construction, glue, staples and cardboard cabinets Middlefield Ohio
I ordered Kraftmaid cabinets from Home Depot ($11,500) worth. Maple honey spice stain. The cabinets were delivered last week and I'm just getting through opening three boxes. So far, all I can see are globs of glue, particle board that's chipping away at the back, thick cardboard backing and what looks like a construction put together by a child! The lazy suzan does not spin all the way on the top, and the band around the cheaply made plastic suzan is already coming apart. Apparently the glue wasn't strong enough. I should have bought my cabinets from IKEA.
I called Kraftmaid and they put me on to their local contact. I'm still waiting on a call back from him. I will report how they handle my complaint.

I am happy to report that a refund was issued by Home Depot for the cabinets. Kraftmaid's horrible customer service should be a warning to others to BUY from another company.

The KD will come over on Friday to inspect the damages. I was told that this is the procedure. I don't want these cabinets anymore because I doubt very much that a second shipment will be an improvement. As we opened more boxes the damage and poor construction was even more visible.
The veneer on the sides is actually peeling. The plywood areas on some cabinets are warped. The coloring on the doors and drawers are different (two ore three shades different from cabinet to cabinet). I knew that there would be variations, but this is way off!
The HD manager said that he will speak to Kraftmaid later this week about their lack of quality, because I told him this reflects on HD and shouldn't be allowed.
I hope something can be done. Either all my money back, or an entire order redone (and upgraded if they have to for free)!

Why don't you unwind the deal at H-D

$11,500 [plus the work required to install them!] combined with the terrible quality you describe is way too much to seek product correction. Start over!
Didn't you look at floor samples at H-D? If so, and the floor samples at H-D are not representative of what you got- kill the deal, and start over!
Maybe look for a custom cabinet builder. You might get something a lot better for very little extra money.
