Complaint Review: Kraken Kustoms Jon Combs

I hired Jon Combs owner of Kraken Kustoms back in July to custom make a barn door, and to reface my kitchen cabinets with the new doors, and a custom mirrored table for a house that I am flipping . He told me it would take 4 to 6 weeks to complete all items. He was very eager to take a very large check for me over $1000 and told me I would be very happy with his products. I contacted him the beginning of the fourth week to ask what the status was on all of my projects, he had told me they were finished and he was ready to deliver. It took me several attempts to get a return phone call from him, text message, or email with nothing no response! First of many excuses sorry I was out of town for the weekend with the kids he said he would be there by Wednesday and never showed.

Then two days later I get an email apologizing for the delayed response and said that he would be back the following day. Many more excuses continued, I desperately tried reaching him by email, text messages, and voice messages on his phone. More excuses came was in the hospital had surgery, his wife is leaving him, he was experiencing growing pains in the company. At that point I had offered to come pick up my cabinet doors for my kitchen and have my crew finish them and install them and the excuses came no one was at the shop was going to be out of town etc. he finally had his project manager deliver my barn door and a barn door that he made for a client of mine, with no hardware, which she had told me his project manner well deliver and install. My barn door is still sitting on my floor, my clients barn door is still sitting on my floor, still no hardware. He made an appointment with my clients husband to meet him to install his barn door at 7 AM in the morning my clients husband took the morning off and he never showed up!

What kind of business person does this? I had asked him to be specific with me many of times for all the items that I contacted him    make for me were for a house that I was getting ready to put on the market. With the lies that he was spoon feeding me and the clock ticking as far as me scheduling my photographer and listing my house I began to ask him please be honest and tell me when all these contracted items would be finished. He had told me everything is finished except for the mirror table that it was at the glass company being finished. I asked him the name of the glass company so I could call them and ask them when it would be finished. The glass company had no idea what I was talking about never heard of the company and never did business with them!

Week after week day after day he would tell me he was coming things were finished one time he told me he would be at my gate at 7 AM and never showed. When he wouldn't show up and I would try to call him his phone would be off and go to voicemail I would frantically leave messages ! He would text me then and apologize and say he would be there the next day every time never showing again I would frantically leave him a number of text messages begging you to please get back to me, I had a crew that I had to schedule and had a busy day myself! By his lack of response he could've cared less about my timeframe my schedule nor the fact that all these products he was commissioned to make were part of my house that was going to be put on the market! September 2 I received an email from him stating "just to be clear this Friday, September 4 all items except the mirrored table will be delivered and installed. He never showed up never called again the text messages from me frantically trying to have him respond with no such luck I had to cancel my photographer for listing my house at a cost of $150 twice I had to do this after the first time he said he would be here and didn't show!

Thursday October 8th he told me he would be here the next day Friday to deliver and install everything, are you immediately texted him back and asked what time so I could make my schedule. He never responded, I tried calling several times that same day, I text message him desperately several times that day again no response, He never showed up the following day again I desperately tried calling for I had an open house that weekend and it was imperative that I would have my kitchen cabinet doors installed! All day long I texted I called and I emailed. I finally got a response from him saying that he was going to file harassment charges against me for bothering him! I warn you run do not walk away from this guy run as fast as you can! He is a crook and a thief and a habitual liar, con man! What kind of business person wants to file harassment charges on a client that just wants her products that she paid for!
