Krave Las Vegas Uses Robert Atkinson to Conceal True Ownership Las Vegas, Nevada
I guess with with help from sleazy Las Vegas attorney Robert Atkinson, all things are possible, right?
Atkinson is Kelly Murphy's attorney. Murphy is owner of Krave Las
Vegas. He might try to deny that, but he is. Murphy is behind a
number of clubs that cater to the Vegas LGBT crowd. Clubs that are
struggling right now. All of them Copa (evicted), Boys Lounge
(evicted twice), Drink & Drag (bounced employee checks) and Krave
(unable to open in their own space because of money issues).
Murphy has a past conviction for bank
fraud and served 16 months in prison as a result. So how does he
become a major player in the Vegas gay club scene with a record like
that? Robert Atkinson is the answer. Atkinson uses straw men people who
help Murphy to get things done in the business world because Murphy
can't use his own name. For example, he's not able to get a liquor
license under Nevada law because of his past convictions. These straw
men do things like apply for and get liquor licenses for him, and
lease agreements, and make other business arrangements. They're
proxies for Murphy.
Not a bad business arrangement, no? Lawyer props up convicted felon and
client to keep him in business, convicted felon and client pays
lawyer to keep it going.
I guess there are some things about Vegas that never change. Just the
characters are different; it's the same story.
