Complaint Review: Kris Walters

 Hey keelloo, call me (((REDACTED))) I got scammed by the same guy too.

Kristian Walter is a fraud who deserves to be in jail.

I purchased a Burning Man ticket from him on August 8, 2014. He CLAIMED to be in Canada and work for a weapons defense group. First, he said he would mail it 2 day Fedex. He claimed to have mailed it, but sent me a picture of a USPS priority package with no postage and a "law office" address (which does not exist). I gave him the benefit of the doubt (my fault) and kept checking the USPS tracking number, only to be informed by USPS that the package was never mailed. When I asked him about that, he said he would have "his brother" check as soon as possible because he was "out of town." I did not hear back from him the next day, when he said he would contact me.

I decided to look up his information, and found all of this information listed on this website - his tactics were IDENTICAL. When I threatened him with legal action, he finally got back to me and said that his "ex-girlfriend" had posted all of this information online. FYI - if he tells anyone that, it's a LIE, because at the very least I had absolutely no affiliation with this man prior to this incident. 

He claimed he would give me my money back, but there was always an excuse. "We need to talk on the phone first" and "I need to be paid first." The day he was supposed to be "paid" he never sent me my money, and after that became insolent and refused to give me my money back.

I filed a dispute with Google Wallet, and his response was, "the tickets were available for you to be picked up, but you did not have the proper identification to do so." I have email evidence documenting that this was never the arrangement and that he claimed he would give me a refund. I'm sure the police and various law enforcement agencies are going to be very interested in this direct lie that Kristian Walters has been caught in.

I finally received a refund, but not as a result of Kristian Walters being a responsible or decent human being and taking responsibility for his actions. In response to his fraudulent claims to Google Wallet that I had not picked up my ticket, I sent email evidence demonstrating that his claim was false as well as his previous fraudulent activity against other people. Google Wallet deemed my dispute valid and did a forced refund. I commend Google Wallet for taking the initiative to help people who have been victims of this man's crimes, but I felt the need to update "Rip off report" with this pertinent information because it was not a refund from Kristian Walters himself and he would continue to try to get away with it if he had the option.

I'm simply amazed that this individual has yet to be caught or punished for all the financial hardships he has caused numerous consumers via the web and/or craigslist.  I dealt with Kris in 2011.  I had sold him tickets to a deadmau5 event.  He said he would wire the funds to my bank account.  And after they cleared I was to send him the tickets.  The money he sent was sent was via a check, not a wire but the strange thing is it appeared to be a wire on my side.  He definitely knows his way in the banking industry and I presume he may have someone on the inside at US BANK or WELLS FARGO, perhaps BOTH.  He cancelled his checking account just as the check had cleared.  So although on my side it appeared that the money was in the bank, it really wasn't.  Two days later the bank pulled the funds which was $720 plus I was charged a bounced check fee!  I tried numerous times to contact him.  He pulled the classic case of not knowing who I was, mentioned he was in a meeting, or that he'd call back then he eventually blocked my number.  I filed 2 cases with the Reno NV PD, the first was closed for no reason.  I obtained twitter photos and facebook photos of him at the event, I contacted the bad check department in NV, and nobody has helped me at all.  I felt completely helpless and it's frustrating to know he's still getting away with this behavior.  I read this site's report and felt I needed to share my story as well.  I have contacted his PO and I'm waiting to hear back as of 9/13/2013.  I really would like to see this SOB put into prison where he belongs and I'd definitely like my money back.

This guy is something else. How he is not in jail baffles me..

he ripped me off via Craigslist To the tune of $700. He has since paid half back and supposedly the other half ill get before the year 2050. Contact his parole guy Hutchinson  because I'm not sure he's aware that Kristian still is pulling his scams and committing new crimes. All this stuff is clear violation of probation. Lets send this d****ebag career criminal back to a cell where he belongs. He thinks he can get away w it when one google search unveils his true nature. He's been doing this for many years and whatever punishment he's received has appeared to not sway him. Please contact his parole guy ASAP. There's obviously enough of us he's d**ked over, enough evidence of crimes to send him away. 

Ps he's never left Reno. Not in Chicago not in Mexico. He's in Reno. 

Can we ask the police man to arrest him again?

I know he was arrested before.

And did you get your money back?

Would you please leave your email. Let everyone who is the victim file report together and tell him please give the money back otherwise we will see each other at the court. Today he scam me 600, tomorrow he scams him 600, and more and more he will get a lot of money from innocent people. We have to say this time we learn something from the truth that there are some people don't care about the guilt at all. It is ugly, and we have to admit it. Call SF fraud department to file the report, or I can give you his address and then you can send court letter to him to drag him to the court.

Actually in the fraud department there are many case he has been done. Police man has all of his information. We can ask police to call him to tell him to give money back, or send the court letter to him to call him to the court, or we can drive to reno to find him and ask him to give the money back (I am kidding on this one). This person has a really compeletly family. He even has a son. I don't think court letter will make him happy, because that way his son and family will know he is doing this again.

Would you also post another page about your story in another page. Let his name become easier to search online. Just try to stop him as much as we can. .

I posted to a burning man group on facebook looking for a burning man ticket. One of the members of the group said he had a friend selling tickets and I received Kris ( Kristian ) Walters' phone number 775 287 5766.

Kris would not accept paypal and requested that I transfer $370 to his Wells Fargo Account #******4446 on July 18th.

Said he shipped them on July 19th to the 'wrong address'.

July 25th still no package. Said he sent it first class. Then he says he had it insured and he would file a claim with the post office.

July 29th says he's in LA for the X Games on a Business Trip and will have his personal assistant handle it until he gets back on August 5th. He insists that he will give me a refund or buy me a new ticket.

August 6th I google him to find out he's scammed multiple people for burning man tickets. I reach out to his facebook friend who had no idea he was a scammer. I threaten law enforcement intervention and he promises to refund my money. Still waiting for the refund today.

I also got ripped off by Kris Walters depositing money into the same wells fargo account on July 2nd tuesday for trying to buy 2 burning man tickets for $525 and its been a month since he took my money with no refund.

Since I post the artical until now, I have gotten 400 back, but the rest of money is still haven't got back yet.

Kristian Walters threatened me he will ask his friend to Bay Area to have fun with me, because he has my address, however, once I saw the address, I figure out why the ticket never came, because the address is wrong. I gave a wrong number of door. Howeverm he also never had the tickets, because I discover so many his record online, and the police also told me forget about it, I will not get my money back because he has done this many times already.

I just want to wan everyone who search this name "Kristian Walters", don't trust any lie what he says. If you are already robbed by him, please email me I will give you his address and send a court letter to him.

Kristian Walters Gave back all of my money, 625$, so he doesn't own me anything right now.

I will not go to court to sue him because he doesn't owe me anything anymore.
