KROGER store ( a chain) in Washington Court House Ohio rips off customers at checkout. They advertise specials to KROGER customers who have their KROGER SHOPPERS CARD upon checkout. The customers are suppose to get the discount on the item when they use their KROGER SHOPPING CARD.

I was ripped off NOT given a so-called-discount when I used my KROGER SHOPPING CARD on my items upon my checkout. I have to constantly double check my receipt before I leave out of there. I was once again ripped off and I brought it to the attention to their staff. I was given a hateful, rude response from the KROGER clerk, then given the third degree (I expected at any moment taken into the back room by the KROGER staff ).

The items were advertised in their circular paper on sale and the dates of the sale. I brought the items within the dates and guidelines of their circular paper. I was rudely ripped off by the ever so pleasant KROGER clerk. The KROGER SHOPPERS CARD IS A RIPPOFF AND SO IS THE STORE! ALL IT IS, THE SHOPPERS CARD, A METHOD OF TRACKING A CUSTOMER'S BUYING HABITS. So, they can overprice a popular product and then knock a percentage off the overprice down the original price!

Watch As The Checker Rings Up Your Purchase

#2Consumer Suggestion

Sat, June 05, 2004

About half the time I go into any store, the price is wrong on at least one item or more. You have to watch the checker ring up your items to catch the mistake. That way it can be corrected at that time. I'll walk back to the shelf and pull the "sale" price off the shelf and present it to the checker. Keep your eyes open and it will surprise you how often the prices are wrong. It's not the checker's fault but the store's. No excuse for rudeness. Good luck.
