July,19,2011. As I drove by Krogers on my way to purchase something at another store, I saw that the price of gas was $3.40. When I returned to Krogers in about 30 to 45 mins. to gas up they raised the price to $3.69. After gassing up I complained to the maneger and he asked me what did the other gas stations were charging. I shop at Krogers so that I can get good deals on my gas, but for them to raise the price by .29 cents within just 30 to 45 mins. it is a ripoff.

Is cheap gas worth food poisoning?

Is your life really worth a few cents off a gallon?

A ripoff would be if they had $3.40 advertised and then, just for fun, charged you $3.69.

Would you have been happier if they'd raised the price, say 10 cents every hour for 3 hours?

Buy it elsewhere if it's a big RipOff.

" I saw that the price of gas was $3.40. When I returned to Krogers in about 30 to 45 mins. to gas up they raised the price to $3.69."

So, you're not claiming that they deceived you in anyway.  You're just pissed that you didn't buy it when it was $3.40.  That's not a ripoff at all.   The fact that you still purchased it at $3.69 would lead the casual observer to believe that the price was not out of line.

If you snooze, you loose.  Guess you should have gotten the gas when it was $3.40.

But sorry there is no ripoff here, a gas station can charge what ever it wants.  The price is on the pumps so it was your choice to still get gas there.

So here is a question for you to think about.  Is this "RipOff" a two way street?  That is would you be saying this if they had lowered the price by $0.29?
