The company advertised on craigslist for work at home positions.  These were for contractors to perform lead generation services at home.  The contract said that there would be payment for the appointments that were set and run.  The payment would be made on Friday following the previous week's work via Google Wallet.

The company did not pay per the contract.  The manager (who quit on the Monday following the first Friday with no payment) said on Friday and Saturday that the contractors would be paid and that some were paid even though I wasn't one of the ones that received payment according to the contract.  He asked if my Google Wallet was set up correctly.  After I provided proof that my Google Wallet account was set up correctly, the excuse then was that the payment was sent to an incorrect account.

I was then told that the owner said that he was going to wait to get a refund from the money he sent to the wrong account and then send it to me.  In other words, the owner wanted me to wait for payment when he made a mistake.  I don't know if other contractors were paid according to their agreements or not; I only know that I wasn't.  When the manager quit, he provided the phone number of the owner, Duane Kronberg.  I called the owner, and he said he thought he would pay me on that Wednesday or Thursday.

I didn't receive any payment on either of those days or after that.  I also had another amount due to me for a lesser amount on that next Friday from the appointments set during the previous week that didn't run until the week after that (i.e. Tuesday, Wednesday, etc.).  For the second missed payment, there was no communication or reply to my request to receive funds for the completed work according to the terms of the contract.  He didn't try to use the same excuse a second time; he opted to ignore my call and emails instead.

Duane Kronberg and his entities did not follow through on the terms of the contract for services performed.  He has other entities as well.  I don't know if he conducts business this way in all of them.  I could say that I believe he's always hiring work at home people in different locations so that he can continue to get services from different people, not pay them, while he gets paid for selling the deliverables to his clients.  I can say that I truly wish I knew about this before I spent the time working for this company while not getting paid.  My work at home services could have been provided to a company that believes in following through on its contracts with an owner that takes responsibility for his mistakes in a timely manner.
