Subject: Christine's Night Club @ Krystal Hotel In Ixtapa
Location: Ixtapa, Mexico
Title: Beware of the Thugs In The Club

While I was in Ixtapa I went to a night club called "Christine" located at the Krystal Resort. It is apparently a time-share resort.

When I entered the club I was told by the manager that there was an all-inclusive price of 200 pesos which included an open bar until 5:00AM. When I got ready to depart at 3:00AM I was told that I had to pay for two extra drinks. I told them that I had paid for the all inclusive until 5:00AM. The manager/head of security came over and stated he told me the open bar was only until 3:00AM not 5:00AM. Then he stated that if I did not pay the bill "there would be trouble."

I asked what he meant by trouble and he said that he would call the police and I said that was fine with me and I would do whatever they recommended. He then said started screaming at me, jumped to his feet, and said something into his hand-held radio. He then yanked me up by my shirt ripping it. I was then pounced upon by four secuity guards and taken to the lobby where the club/manager threatened to have me beaten by the security guards. He then told the security guards to release me and taunted me trying to antagonize and provoke me into a fight in order to justify his abusive conduct. He further told me that if I did not pay for the two drinks right then he was going to have me beaten. I then gave him my debit card which he through the waiter.

When it was returned I signed it and wrote "disputed" on the slip which nobody noticed and which would provided proof of extortion. I then turned to leave and and the manager shoved me from the back. The following day I filed a complaints with the Secretary of Tourism, with the Zihuatanejo police, and witht he U.S. Consulate's office in Ixtapa.

After further investigation I determined that the little thug's name is Aljeandro Solis. I also reported the event to Mr. Alexander Ruiz who is the General Manager of the resort. Mr. Ruiz sent Mr. Salvador Andrade to my hotel to discuss the matter with me. Mr. Andrade scheduled a meeting with Mr. Ruiz and I for the following morning.

Mr. Ruiz failed to appear for the meeting. To me this shows an utter indifference by Mr. Ruiz to the danger and abusive behavior posed on the Krystal properties. I would suggest that nobody utilize this property if they value there personal safety.

If I receive a reply from Mr. Ruiz resolving the matter, I will update this review. Currently pending are: the police complaint against Aljeandro Solis; Complaint with the Secretary of Tourism; Statistical Incident Report with the American Consul; Notification to Visa concerning the extortion used to make the charge on the card, Comlaint pending with the Mexican Consul in Albuquerque, NM.

So unless you want to be assaulted, battered, abused, profanity used and directed at you, your property damaged and you injured, held under false imprisonment, intimidated, and extorted, avoid this "upscale club" and the Krystal property in Ixtapa like the plague! And for God's sake don't purchase their time-shares with this kind of behavior being tolerated by upper management! By the way, Carlos and Charlie's Clothesline is more enjoyable and significantly busier.

Curtis has shared with us the fact that he's a lawyer. (who writes at a grade school level)
Lawyer's aren't exactly at the top of the list of popular professionals. Let's hope he also doesn't carry the stigma of being **a lawyer** from Tupper Lake.
.
Scary!

he sounds like he did the right thing by reporting to the right people. these places shouldnt be allowed to treat people like that. no matter what country you are in.

Curtis, while I understand that you are angry, it's going to be hard for anyone to take you seriously as an attorney. You've used the occasional big word but your use of the English language is painful to the reader. I sincerely hope that you are learning English as a second language, or that you have a wonderful paralegal that cleans up your correspondence. Maybe this communication barrier caused some of your problems at the resort. Good luck.

Why do you think I reported to the police with witnesses and saw a doctor for the injury?

Obviously, Tyler you are the retard. You doubt your own country man? How stupid you are! Do you really think I would go to all of this trouble if what I was saying were not true you ignorant supersillous moran? Why do you think I reported to the police with witnesses and saw a doctor for the injury? Eually as obvious you must not travel much. U.S. Citizens as a general rule are not hated around the world, quite the contrary they are highly respected. So go travel and learn something instead of relying on your trite prejudices about your own country man.

For those that care about their safety abroad here is an update on this matter. Currently the U.S. Embassy, The Mexican Consulate, the American Consulate in Ixtapa, the Mexican Tourism Police, the Mexican Police, and the Vice President of Operations for the nh-hotels in Mexico City have investigated this incident. The perpetrator is being considered for prosecution at this time and I have been informed by the Vice President of Operations that the perpertrator is in the process of being terminated by the hotel for extreme misconduct. However, the perpetrator is in a union and prior to his termination he will have a misconduct hearing if he does not resign. I will post the result when it is finalized.

As for you Tyler, growup and be glad one of your country man cares enough about safety of U.S. citizens abroad to take appropriate action to see it does not happen to others. And Tyler, you should be ashamed of yourself! Learn and pay attention.

You're just another retard from MY COUNTRY going to a foreign Country and causing trouble. 5 or 6 employees, including the manager don't waste their time over 2 drinks - You obviously did something else to piss them off or were being an idiot. No wonder everone else on the planet hates Americans - It's because of guys like you.

Take Heed and Don't Blame The Victim

Concerning the consumer suggestion posted, I am it was a bit consending and pretencious. Firstly, I have travelled the world for over 37 years in countries to numerous to count and on most continents. So I don't need to be told that the laws of the USA do not apply abroad since I practice law internationally. And just so you are aware, the laws of Mexico do apply to visitors and the citizens of Mexico alike. In case you don't know, the Secretary of Tourism in Mexico takes such criminal matters very seriously due to the tourism industry and the matter is currently under investigation with them and the local police. And by the way, my witnesses are all Mexican Nationals who also reported. Furthermore this matter is also under investigation with the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City and by the Nh-Hotels in Mexico City. Additionally, the Nh-Hotels are a Spanish hotel chain with its main corporate offices located in Madrid, Spain. Apparently you did not read the part of the complaint that stated we had one drink a piece before the incident occurred and at age 51 I don't think you could call me or my guest a "boistrious drunk on spring vacation." Furthermore, it is ridiculous to attempt to lay the blame for a crime at the feet of the victim. Finally, I suggest you take into consideration that the purpose of my posting this criminal activity on the internet is to protect other U.S. Citizens traveling abroad to Ixtapa that might visit Christine's or the Krystal hotel.

First of all, I would like to tell you that you were very lucky they did not beat you up!!
How many witnesses did you have?
How many of them were mexican?
You have to remember that you are in a different country and our law and rules DO NOT APPLY !!It's their word against yours, in their Turf!!So I would suggest to you that next time you are on vacations anywhere in the world NEVER FIGHT THE LOCALS, specially in MEXICO, "WE" Americans are known in Mexico for being a bunch of Loud drunks !!

Remember that very well, Local police and hotel staff, restaurants, discos, taxi drivers they all know each other, Don't ruin your vacations for something STUPID!! You should just agree to what they say and then leave, I'm never getting myself in trouble for a couple of drinks, yours is a classic move that SPRINGBREAKERS DO IN MEXICO, (I NEVER ORDER THAT DRINK!)OR(HE TOLD ME THIS AND HE TOLD ME THAT)the game he said she said it does not apply in another country.
I hope that you learned something from this experience!!
