We went to Kuhn construction for total ripout and remodel of our kitchen and bathroom. The owner Jeff wants to know right up front what you have to spend. They don't want to break down the cost of labor and supplies. The interior designer Lynn didn't come up a design that we liked and even wanted to alter our outside deck that would of ate money for inside work. The job was suppose to take aprox.3 months where it actually went on for ten. Cabinets were cut short (to save him money). Appliances were damaged and a  paving stone was cracked due to carelessness.  Many different contractor people were here and he strickly told us that he didn't use sub contractors.  We had many issues with fit and finish.  We also had water leaks while they were still here working.(I have photos to prove it). In the end Kuhn construction works out payments where youowe very little at the end of the project. We owed $1000, 00 at the end when Jeff came for the final walk through.  We still had a few cosmedic issues unresolved. He promised r o fix them and I would pay the balance. We never heard from them. Now it's been two years and we dicovered a major water leak under our kitchen sink. It's over a dry slab so there's no way fix it without ripping out the cabinet.  Icalled  his office after shutting off the water. They said Jeff was out of town for the weekend. I left an email and a message to call me asap.

Jeff did email back before the end of the weekend but said "you should have someone look at it and you still owe me a thousand dollars".

I left another message on Monday May 20, 2013 but have not heard back from him. We spent aprox. $50, 000 with his company and this is  the treatment you get. Even though he is a member of NARI be very careful about this company.  I've already contacted BBB and NARI.  The next step will be a civil lawsuit. STAY CLEAR OF KUHN CONSTRUCTION !!!!! You've been warned.

We finally had an outside licenced plumver come in to fix our leak under the kitchen sink. The plumber said it was the cold water line that feeds the refridgerator ice maker. He had to cut open the floor cabinet  to access the water line that had been pinched. This was leaking for a very long time.  I had to pay hundreds to the plumber for all his work to repair this. Now we need to replace what was cut open. Acvording to the cabinet manufacturer it willl cost approximately $1, 000.00 .

We now have a crack in the bathroom ceiling. The tape and spackle are seperating and is falling apart. Kuhn construction can't even tape and spackle a ceiling properly. We don't recommend them even for minor or  small jobs.
