KWGO 102.9 Programmers Broadcasting - Jean Schempp / J. Davis refuses to give audio aircheck samples or change contract. Was treated very rudely too! Minot/Burlington North Dakota
This is the WORST radio station I have ever dealt with! This 102.9 KWGO flipped to country WITHOUT WARNING. Usually I have recorded 90 minute airchecks of every hot AC, smooth jazz, and hard rock station (they are formats I enjoy the most) but for the last year I have been unable to do so due to a fire I had recently. I politely asked KWGO 102.9 for some audio samples of their old hot AC format and they simply flat-out refused in a blunt tone of voice that because of copyright regulations they would not do it. I told them this was unfair but they still did not budge. The rule is silly - nobody is going to do bad things if someone has a copy of the audio. The two owners names are above and honestly don't care if that rule makes people angry. What they are doing is ruining the whole hobby of aircheck collecting. They don't believe in getting back to listeners in a timely manner either - ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THEIR STUPID ADVERTISERS! The whole situation has made me angry and upset.
Other stations in the past have sent me audio airchecks with no problem but not this one. They don't believe that listening top the radio and recording radio history is something enjoyable. Nothing happens when someone regularly records off the radio and nothing would happen if the station sent their audio in an email of OLD audio history! I think they just like to make people angry. Country is too common and sounds TERRIBLE! This is now a crappy, TERRIBLE country station instead of hot AC!
Advertisers in the Burlington,/Minot, ND area don't give Programmers Broad. your business. It's a stupid radio company who doesn't care about pleasing listeners - they only care about making money! They will just treat you with disrespect if you ask for any special favors and tell you to go piss off!
