Kwik Kar Lube & Tune rip-off, scam, fraud, Kwik Kar Houston, Texas
I stopped in for an oil change. The technician, listed on
the invoice, C. Mills stated that I had gone twice over the amount of miles.
However, this was not accurate as my car only requires oil changes every 5,000
miles.
Of course, I knew where she was headed and as I suspected, she recommended (an
upsell) letting her flush it out at half-price. I declined, so she indicated
that she could go ahead and change the oil, but it would still appear very
dark. I should have cancelled the service and left at this point, but I allowed
the oil change.
Afterwards, a couple of days later, the oil change reminder
light came on, so I am assuming she didn't reset the data at the time of the
change. To be safe, I took the car to the dealership to have them re-change the
oil and reset the data to be safe. Lesson learned. I have my doubts on whether
she actually changed the oil. My dealership has the same doubts. They also indicated that my oil did not need to be flushed out. I will not use
this business ever again and cannot recommend to anyone.

I visited this location today and all I can say is wow. The level of customer service is unlike anything I have ever seen. I was greeted by the manager, Ms. Mills, and she was very helpful and did a great job explaining the services to me. I was treated wonderfully by the entire staff. The waiting area was very clean and comfortable. In fact, I was so comfortable my car was ready before I knew it. Overall, this was the nest customer service experience I've had in quite some time. I highly recommend this shop
