I took my 2007 Dodge Truck to Kwik Kar , previously I had the Dodge dealer do all my work.

While there, the oil change tech asked who changed my oil last, because he had to strip my drain plug to remove it . I let him know Tomball Dodge had done all the service for the last 75000 miles and I seriously doubt they stripped the plug,(maybe if they had tried a metric wrench instead of a standard we wouldn't have had this issue)

Kwik Kar went across the street to the auto parts , got a new drain plug and replaced it at my expense.

I left Kwik kar, drove down the road about 3 miles and my check engine light came on for the first time ever, I call them , and they said bring it by and they would put their diagnostics on it , but it is'nt anything they did

(amazing they can diagnose that over the phone)

Before I brought it back to them I disconnected the battery to try to clear the fault which did clear for about 5 minutes. I decided to have Autozone diagnose it before I went back to kwik car , the man at autozone said code p0524 which is a oil pressure sensor circuit condition. I then went back to kwik Kar , they had their mechanic diagnose with his code reader

(never even opening the hood , or looking under the truck) He stated your truck should still be under warranty , it's nothing we did, and we aren't responsible.

I went to the Dodge dealer, they diagnosed it , and found that kwik car had put THE WRONG VISCOSITY OIL in my truck which does VOID THE WARRANTY

I then got to pay for an oil change at the Dodge dealer on the wrong oil Kwik Kar had put in 125 miles earlier.

Thanks KWIK KAR , I will never do business there again . You might try "growing some" and trying some unique business practices like ethics, and integrity
