KZ RV We bought one of these campers brand new (2022 model) and it has been a complete nightmare since we brought it home. Shipshewana IN
Bought a new camper for $46,000 and it has been a total flimsy piece of junk since day one. We've only used it 2 times. Everything's falling apart, self destructing, poorly built, I could go on and on... the first time we took it out, one of the awnings destroyed itself while it was being retracted. The wallpaper and trim are falling apart inside.
Cabinets won't shut correctly, sides are warped I assume from someone over tightening trim pieces around storage compartments, both grey valves allow water to seep by so you get a nice lapful of grey water every time you pull the caps, roof membrane is warped, wrinkled and screwed up, warped wall trim, poorly insulated, hvac system looks like someone chewed some of the ductwork up with a sawzall, pex tubing was apparently cut with a saw instead of ratchet cutters like the manufacturer recommends so faucets and fixtures ate clogged up with blue plastic shavings (this also caused the shower head to explode and break in half).
This is my third camper and second new one and I've never seen anything built so poorly with so little quality control and care over basic issues. KZ seems to be leaving the QC/QA functions to their customers.
And here's where it gets ridiculous: In order to take advantage of your "2 year warranty", you have to bring the RV back to the dealer (an hour and a half drive in my case) and let them decide if it's covered by the warranty. If your dealer is like Wilder RV in Clinton, MO, they'll let the unit sit on their lot while they give you every excuse and lie under the sun as to why your camper is still a piece of worthless junk sitting on their lot.
I have absolutely had it with Wilder RV and KZ. I'll never buy a thing from either of them again. Wilder tried to tell me that KZ was some sort of premium manufacture when in reality, they appear to be one of the worst out there.
Wilder RV also trash talked Forest River which is the manufacturer of our last camper. Let me just say this, we used the heck out of our Forest River Grey Wolf and never had a single issue. I wish I could say that about my new $46,000 pile of kindling with wheels that I'm now stuck with.
