L.A. Patios And Spas, James Gregory Capps ripoff consumer rip-off fraud Three months later still no spa! Santa Clarita California
Mr. James Gregory Capps oo L.A. Patios and Spas took over $4600.00 in payment for a spa in April of 2003 with a delivery date of 3 weeks. Three months later he has not delivered the spa and refuses to return my money. I have had to resort to a small claims action against Mr. Capps.I don't want anyone else to have to deal with this scam artist.

I have owned LA Spas & Pation for several years before this gentalman came in to buy a spa. When a customer places an order on a custom spa they must place a deposit prior to our store ordering thsat product from the factory. This person did place (from what I was told) the dollar amount he stated that he lost with us before his spa was ordered. I know he changed his mind on what color he wanted. We have multipal colors of blue for the spa shell and his wife and him could not get together on what blue theay wanted. as time went buy they could no longer get back their deposit and no longet wanted the spa. We had nothing they wanted in credit so here we are. Im sorry this turned out this way but I feel I have done everything I could to help this matter come to an end.

This person is right with regards to the store taking his money. However at the time of his deposit for the spa he wanted I was not the owner of LA Spas & Patio. I was the general Manager. To my understanding my former employer contacted the customer to let him know we the store was going to be closing. I was no prevy to what was said during that conversation. I did purchase the store at a later date and like this person complaint there were otheres as well. I eneded up using my own money to buy people spas and also paid to have the delevered. In doing so I had to close the store do to the debts in incured from the people I bought the store from. I did take this mans money, but as an employee, nit a owner.
