I purchased $700+ of L'Core products on the show floor of a conference at the Las Vegas conference center. When I got back to my hotel room to review the products, I found that none of them had any sort of factory seal. I went online to better understand the background of these products and found numerous negative reviews - not just about the products but also about the fraudulent nature of sales and customer experiences. I further reviewed product websites and none of them signal credibility. Key examples include major typos on websites, mis-representation of media coverage, no mention of the team behind the company, no credible 3rd-party reviews, at least FIVE reports on ripoffreport.com, 14 complaints with the Better Business Bureau, etc. Last week there were numerous 1-star ratings on Yelp. Since contacting the company with my complaint, I notice that the majority of those 1-star ratings are now gone. And 1-star reviews on Amazon are also gone.
Additionally, the corporate entity responsible for products and sales seems to be a shell game - the product brand is L'Core, the sales representative uses an Agora business card, the credit card receipt lists Venofye as the name of the company and the customer service representative is from Las Vegas Cosmetics.
I submitted a customer service form asking for a full refund given the concern that a lack of factory seal and low product/corporate credibility indicated a serious health risk. My request for a refund was denied. I was offered products in exchange - also with questionable brand reputation.
Given the high-end nature of products sold I would expect there to be more focus on brand reputation and customer satisfaction. In the absence of this, I can only suspect fraud.
