La Cienega Jewelry and Loan is run by a husband and wife team. I purchased a lot of equipment at this store-computers, cameras and ipads all broken down in less then 2 weeks I bought the items. Nothing works its all garbage that they rig to work and once you get the ipad home it breaks down and they could care less. My husband and I like to go to pawn shops to find deals however this pawn shop is a rip off. I bought a camera that they said was brand new in the case when I brought it home it worked for 2 days I bought it back and they told me I broke it or dropped it. Not the case at all. They have someone come and try to fix the camera and it still wouldn't work they wanted to give me 1/3 of my money back for a camera I paid $175.00 new in the box. It wasn't new and the camera didn't work. I bought an ipad at the same time it worked until I got it home and then it never powered up, I bought a new power cord nothing, brought it back they had some guy try and fix it he could fix it. The male owner said he'd give me half the money back because he felt I broke it, I paid $425.00 for the ipad.
The wife owner is real sweet a real cunning sales woman I asked her about a bracelet for my husband and I asked them to check the diamonds, in front of my husband and myself they checked the bracelet with this diamond checker-it turned orange then they hit the button again it turned up green, it is not real diamonds I took it to my jeweler he said they were high quality CV's. I paid $500 for the bracelet. When I brought the bracelet back the owner told me that the gold in the bracelet was worth at least $300.00. I did not want the bracelet for the gold I wanted the bracelet functioning with real diamonds for my husband to wear.
I also witnessed two ipads being fixed while I was in the store-they could not get any of the ipads to work. Either these two buy broken down items and do not bother to check them or they just don't care-I feel it is both. My experience with other Pawn shops on the same street has been amazing-I never had a problem until this husband and wife team-they certainly do not know what they are doing when it comes to technology and or buying quality items. The husband asked my husband if he thought what someone brought in a tv I think what he thought it would go for? I mean that should have been a sign.
I'm writing here today about this company not to destroy them in any fashion but to alert others of their novice work ethics-and that they are out to make money but forget about the customer. This husband and wife team asks high dollar for their crappy products and when you are sold a dud they tell you its your fault. I guess we all take a chance when it comes to integrity and intelligence which both of these people do not have to run an efficient business. Because of my excellent experience with their competition on the same road I felt that I wanted to do business and cultivate a good relationship with them. They do not care about their customers, they only care about the money. They also have kids in the back room that pop out running back and forth in the store, I don't think this is professional, they even had their young son try to help me. I mean what did he know?
Please be careful before you buy any ipads or cameras or jewelry in this place, they do not know what they are doing and they charge a lot for being so novice. There is no excuse for being novice. They sell a lot of jewelry and please check it carefully before you purchase anything from this store. Make sure things work correctly and that you know your jewelry. I hope no one else gets ripped off like we did. Thanks

We are dedicated to providing exceptional customer service in a friendly environment for our clients and staff. However on October 5th, 2012 an employee was fired for being caught stealing. He was not prosecuted, but his employment was terminated immediately as a result from his actions. Him and his wife filed this bogus Rip off Complaint in retaliation for his employment termination, with the only motive being to hurt our company's reputation.
We are a reputable business, who is committed to delivering the best customer service, and offers full client satisfaction on all products that are sold. We pay the best prices in town for fine jewelry, luxury watches, electronics and many items of value. We have received hundreds of referrals from individuals who have done business with our company and were one hundred percent satisfied clients.
We're one of the best pawnshops open seven days a week. All items brought for pawn are kept safe and secure in a vault of maximum security. Our store is fully insured, state licensed and bonded, so you can rest assured your items are in a safe place with us.
All merchandise sold in our store is fully tested in front of the buyer prior to buying and selling. We offer returns if any product is damaged or defective. All accusations filed on their report are false, and have been created with only the malicious intent of hurting our company reputation.
This ex-employee whose name I refuse to mention, knows exactly who he is, and should be absolutely ashamed of himself for committing such a cowardly attempt at defacing our reputable name. He should have been grateful to work for our company; We gave him the opportunity to become part of our staff, after knowing him for years and being one of our regular pawn customers.
In essence, we would like to deny all allegations made against our company. We would love to obtain your trust and the opportunity to serve you and make you one of our many satisfied customers.
