Three years after LA Construction & Roofing Inc worked on our house,
we have flickering lights from poorly installed wiring, walls that
aren't straight, rusting railing (they get them from Mexico), uneven
floors, sagging ceilings with nails popping through and a multitude of
other problems. The experience with them would be the premise of a great
movie storyline, but not with a good ending. LA Construction &
Roofing Inc subcontracts all their work to what appears to be the
cheapest and most desperate workers; nearly all of the subcontractors
complained about how they were treated and not paid for weeks and our
house was threatened with mechanic's liens several times. The slick,
fast-talking son-in-law favorite expression is "not a problem" when
initially discussing the project with the homeowner. but everything
becomes one, since he tells everyone different versions which creates
disastrous results. Our neighbors complained about LA Construction &
Roofing Inc workers and the mess they left at the end of every day. The
project took EIGHT TIMES longer than promised ("not a problem!") and LA
Construction & Roofing Inc ultimately abandoned the project,
leaving us homeless with no electricity, water, toilet, kitchen, etc.
and the house was determined by the city as unfit for habitation. Our
landscaping was torn to shreds, and LA Construction & Roofing Inc
pointed out that the small writing at the bottom of the contract said
that LA Construction & Roofing Inc wasn't liable for things like

broken fences, crushed gardens or destroyed driveways. It wasn't a
problem for this guy, who drove off into the sunset in his new Porsche,
but it was for us. We had to pay $ tens of thousands for another
contractor to fix LA Construction & Roofing Inc messes, both inside
and outside.
Run, don't walk, away from this company!
