Complaint Review: La Dermanique

I saw charges on my bank statement that had just letters and a phone number -- but not able to determine what those charges were for, I called the number and the voice response said, "Thank you for calling customer service and your call will be answered in the order it was received".  I still didn't know who I was calling.  I waited 20 minutes for someone to pick up.  When I found out that I was charged $97.88 for what I was led to believe was simply a trial bottle for only the shipping cost of $2.95, the representative told me I was outside the 14-day trial period and I had to pay the $97.88 for the 30-day bottle of product (a small bottle).  I read the rep the Terms and Conditions and it said I could get a refund within the 30-day period of ordering.  I also read to him the paragraph that I would be sent an email from the company to ask whether I wished to continue.  The rep's only response was that he could offer me a 35% credit only -- not the entire amount.  

It is completely misleading and unfortunate for innocent people to "buy-into" scams like this.  a bottle of La Derminquie offers a trial bottle if you pay $4.99 shipping. No where does it say you have signed up for auto ship. In fact in their own words, they are supposed to send you a link to apply if you want it: 

By placing my order, I agree to the Terms of Offer, which explain this is a one time $4.95 discounted bottle that will be shipped within 48 hours of purchase. After 14 days of your initial order, you will be emailed an order reminder with an order renewal link that will allow you to order again. The price for a 1 month supply is $97.88. You are not obligated to purchase after you receive your discounted order and you can cancel anytime by calling 1-844-670-0740. 

 There was no reminder, no email, just money taken from my bank account. They ripped me off and many others that I am seeing here.

PLEASE stop this company from continuing to fraud innocent people like me.
