LA Fitness & Body Of Change Ripoff Fraud, gross misrepresentation, false advertising, potential danger Palm Beach Gardens Florida
Body of Change is apparently the personal training division of LA Finess operating as a separate entity within all LA Fitness facilities throughout the USA. Body of Change is positioned as a premier personal training organization providing superior individual personal training by well-trained and certified trainers at competitive prices.
In reality, their business model is absolutely pathetic and it seems their mission is to rip off unsuspecting customers. During their sales pitch (which is reminiscent of a really bad used car dealer experience) they boast a well educated, professional, seasoned, experienced and certified staff of personal trainers providing a structured training regimen developed by Body of Change at competitive prices. Their supposed curriculum is rigorous and is strictly adhered to by their trainers. After talking to a number of trainers it seems this is absolutely false. There is no training, no curriculum, no "Body of Change" program, no regimen -- absolutely no guidelines. If you can fog a mirror you can be a trainer at LA Fitness. Sessions are 1/2 hour long and average approx. $59/session (that's $118/hr) or roughly twice the national average. Not so competitive. Client's results speak volumes. No physical changes or improvements reported but a lot of disenchanted and pissed off people. Their trainers even get ripped off as they are making $6.00 per training session while LA Fitness collects $59.00. No wonder their trainer turnover is so high.
I am surprised no one has died while working with a trainer at LA Fitness and I'm appalled that their employees, x-employees and clients have not filed a class action suit against a company that flagrantly lies about their offering(s).
