LA Fitness Fraud workout alright! Ripoff Carrolton Texas
The run around has just began. As in a carrousel. You cannot imagine how tedious it was. I did not know a company could produce so many managers, assistant managers, operations managers, general managers, collection managers, district managers, corporate managers, all equally inefficient. Or are they? On second hand they are not, from their perspective, their role is exactly to do what they do, take you for what you can pay and then prolong membership indefinitely till other innocent people fall for the gimmick.
The funny or puzzling part is where does it end. Here are my suggestions to future victims.Remember when you were told your contract had to be signed by the corporate office and you would recieve a signed copy on the mail, in the mean time here is a copy of it. Well, well, your copy is not binding since it is not signed. But theirs is.
Remember when you wanted to say no, how much they lowered the price and told you for 39 dollars you could become a member... Well, they catch up in the long run, by not having, simply, an office where you can cancel.
Remember when you filled the form of cancellation, so hastily offered to you by Miss Rudie, at the front desk... Is this all? I almost hear you ask... yes, yes, yes... It turns out they want it but you cannot produce a copy, therefore, you did not cancel...
And when you are put on hold, do not waste time, that line is set so incoming calls are never picked up.
The collectors, they are very efficient, 23 calls a day was their record in my case on the 2nd of August, one day after they claimed my (fraudulent) direct withdrawal should have gone through.
They do everything against best practices these rogues... they cheat, they bark at you, they threaten. I was even threatened they would call the police on me if I called them again. Imagine... what charges could they file... Persistence in demanding customer service?
Now they have just told me they canceled. And I want them to refund my money. The whole year they could not find my name in the system, causing us time and trouble the few times we went there to relax. And as for complaining... These people are train not to take complaints... They avoid them, squarely. When you leave messages for them they do not return calls, ever. I waited seven months for my call to be returned.
Finally, listen to their tone, their manners, their poor customer services. For a company solliciting daily, outside supermarkets, they are either not skilled at all or too skilled in the techniques of defrauding one more victim yet, out there. Just warn anybody you can and do us all a favor...
Please.A few tips. As many times as they call you, call them. Apply the same tactics.Do not give up... they will continue to paw your bank account even if they have to forge a check (wonder about those 99999 checks appearing in your bank) Collectors, they do it for a free membership... (Pretty smart! We are paying for their membership!) That is why they bark at us, they want your money and their workout... that is the hidden deal.
Good luck! How about a class suit. Any skilled lawyers out there willing to start it?
