This report is in response to the pure aggravation of canceling a membership with LA Fitness International.

They refuse to process cancellation requests in your local LA Fitness location. Now I have no problem with paying the last months membership, I agreed to it. But to my surprise, local LA Fitness staff will not accept your cancellation request.

They insist on you MAILING a letter to them 20 days in advance for processing.

The fact that I cannot cancel this membership over the phone or online is a bit inconvenient, but the most preposterous thing I have ever heard of is not being able to cancel at my LA Fitness location.

This policy is a blatant effort to extract additional fees from clients that no longer wish to be part of their club. This method is contradictory to the technology and efficiencies they display in their ability to electronically manage account billing, attendance, and contact information.
