LA Fitness Staff and Managers are like used car salesman Renton Washington

LA fitness in Renton has one of the worst sales staff I've ever seen. At first, they are so nice. They'll even kiss your baby to think that they are nice people.
But once you tell them you would like to try out the gym, think about the offer, or ask for better deal, their testosterone kicks in.

They'll say, "we don't need your business". "Why try out the gym, it's only $29 a month, just sign up", "We will always be successful and you are lucky to get this kind of deal", "I don't understand people like you who wants to try out the gym before you sign up", "you are not signing your life away. It's less than $1 a month"
I think normal thing to do is be nice to your customers and if you can't give them a good deal, just be honest and say you cannot offer a good deal.

I got a call 2 hours later after I left all pissed, with the original offer I've asked for. I told them, no thanks, i don't want my money to go to people like you.
Jody and Christina from Renton is as dirty as human being can get.

Please don't let the original post bother you, it's not worth your time. 90% of the reports here were filed by idiots who are either at fault themselves or think they are entitled to something they are not. The original post was obiviusly made by someone who was too lazy to read and understand the offer. Otherwise, they would have known it was expired. The original poster just needs to get over themself and grow up.

#3REBUTTAL Individual responds

It is not my intention to dispute whether or not this person in question had a good experience or not, perception is truth and obviously this person was not happy with there experience, for that I apologize.

What I will say is that there was no need for a personal attack, especially for as small of a part as I played in this particular situation. My part in this was a customer service call back after the fact to try to explain how they possibly could and why they could not that day get an offer that they thought they were entitled to. No one told me to call them, I only called because I had heard what was going on and I wanted to help. They wanted a pricing that had expired through a corporate account, that particular corporate had not renewed at that time and had expired 3 days prior to them coming in. We were expecting to hear from them with news of renewal or no renewal, we received and email approximately 2hrs later...so I called to tell them it was available if they came back with a voucher with the correct dates, its very simple. Since the price reduction was dependent on the company covering some of the employee cost and they had not renewed we could not offer the reduced rate, always check expiration dates it will help.

The main reason I took the time to respond to this personal attack is because in my 4.5 yrs in this industry I have taken pride in how I take care of my potential members and existing members on a personal level no matter what club I am at. If you look I was mentioned on King5 Northwest Magazine "The Best" as a General Manager. I love people I love what I do and I love to see people who are excited to get out of their funk and start getting in shape. I am not perfect everyday but I am honest and far from dirty and I treat people with respect. Its very unfortunate and bothers me deeply that this misunderstanding occurred.
