Complaint Review: La Salle Bank

La Salle Bank For years, I used my Lasalle account for my Paypal/Ebay transactions. If there weren't enough funds in the checking account, it was set to be covered by my AMERICAN EXPRESS Credit Card. Grand Rapids Michigan

LaSalle Bank. Bless their hearts, they can't decide on a name. I even stuck with them while they were "AMN AMRO,Inc".... "Who's your bank?" "Amn Amro." "Huh?" Yet the staff seemed nice enough, they gave my kids suckers, they're on the corner, what do I care?

Well I care now. For YEARS, I set up my LaSalle checking to pay for PayPal/EBAY purchases. In the event of low funds, American Express was there as back up. It worked like that smoothly, automatically for years.

During the Christmas month, I'm buying my beloved family used items on Ebay, and I find out that the benevolent souls at LaSalle took it upon themselves to cover my checking account shortage, ignoring the American Express, and charge me $32.00 for their favor. There was no notification of this, no warning whatsoever. I only found out when my TINY purchases (A $7.00 bracelet was charged $32.00 for them to cover) were sent to me a week after the fact that I had ELEVEN overdrafts. $423.00 In FEES ALONE for $100 worth of ebay silliness.

They are getting FAT on this new policy on broke single moms that have to buy used clothes. They sent me to collections after all kinds of bad Karma mail and phone calls. They are talking garnishments and liens.

It's kind of a complicated manuever and I hope I did it justice. I hope they didn't spank anybody else. If so, Class Action is in order. I like fun barraccuda-like attornies from the University of Michigan, if possible.
