Complaint Review: LA Weight Loss

LA Weight Loss Closed. I was required to pay them for services. If they were no longer there to accommodate clients, why should they not be required to reimburse those charges? Nationwide

I was a client at the Rainbow City LA Weight Loss Center. The center closed 12/2007. I have been corresponding with LA Weight Loss associates since that time requesting my due refund and rebate. I was told several times that I would be receiving my refund but it would take up to eight weeks. I never received any refund or rebate but continued to speak with personnel at the Trussville LA Weight Loss center. The last several times I called, I received a message that the mailbox was full. When asked to leave a call back number (press 5), it would then say I had pressed an invalid number.

Today, I called and was told the number had been disconnected. I finally called numbers I found on the internet and spoke with an Amy. She would not give her last name and may not have even been telling me the truth about her first name. Anyway, she was very rude! She would not listen to my explanation and said that I was not eligible for a refund. She would not allow me to speak to anyone else and told me that she was just telling me what the owner of LA Weight Loss told her to tell me. I asked her who was the owner of LA Weight Loss and she would not give me that information.

I have been very patient and polite. I have been given the run around for a year.

The "Girl" you spoke with is Amy Achey with LA Weight Loss

Amy Achey used to travel around as an Operations Manager and would "lie" right to clients face about the fate of the centers. She would tell them there was no way the centers were closing, because they were owned by Corporate and corporate was not going anywhere....Yeah, right. ALL the centers are closing. Only the franchises appear safe. I would call back and ask for Jennifer Philly.
